Llano River Golf Course

About
Llano River Golf Course has the wonderful distinction of being laid out along the scenic Llano River, with beautiful views and great golf. This course should be a must-play anytime you’re touring through the immediate area.
In addition to the scenery, the most memorable feature of this course is the tiny, postage-stamp-sized greens that require pinpoint accuracy and a solid short game for pars. In fact, these well-manicured greens compare favorably to the tricky burial mound greens of Alpine and Marfa, and are surely some of the smallest targets in the state.
Mature trees line the fairways, and water hazards come into play on only three holes.
The best birdie opportunity is the short, par 5 13th hole, playing only 437 yards. Good golfers can get there in two and give it a roll at an eagle putt. The ender is talked about as the signature, a difficult 502-yard par 5 with out-of-bounds along the left as well as behind the green.
Getting there : In Llano turn left on the north side of the courthouse and head out to the course.

good for the money
This course is nothing fancy, but the greens are in good condition and the scenery is beautiful. The green fees are very reasonable and it's usually not too crowded.
Llano golf course
This course is a diamond in the rough. With the exception of the cart paths this course is great. The greens are small but in excellent condition! If they can fix the cart paths I would’ve given a 5 across the board. The staff is awesome and very friendly. Highly recommend and I will play again.
Short course, but in great condition!
I’m used to playing courses around Austin. Llano was refreshing because your putt actually rolled on the green. I would have preferred a longer course, but for its price it’s once of the best deals you can get to play 18 holes.
Hidden Gem
Other than the 8some in front of us, which was a first, I've never seen a group that big playing before, and they didnt care how long they took on each hole, VERY frustrating, other than this it's a great course with some stunning vista's. Front 9 is a little tighter than the back nine which is more forgiving.
Would absolutely play again.
Course is in great shape
Perfect day - course was in good shape. Golf Pro and staff are very friendly.
New golf gas carts were nice.
Pace was slow as there were many groups of 5 and even larger going off together.
Great course
This would be my home course and would play daily if I didn’t live in Austin, with being said it was well worth the drive
