Very nice course
This was my second trip to Carter. I again enjoyed my round.
Had a Great day at Carter Plantation!
Played Carter Plantation on March 1, 2013.
Course was still soggy from all the recent rain, and we were kept to cart paths only. Contributed to some slow play. The course played longer than the one other timed I had played it, obviuosly. Was also very windy, which did not help. Staff in the pro shop was very friendly, Beverage cart girl was great, and timely. Starter was super friendly. Greens were in really nice shape, for the most part. Considering the time of year, the fairways were fairly green, and in good shape, although every shot plugged, and we got no roll at all- all day. A few more days of sunshine, and it will be a whole different story. Should be perfect by then!
Good course
Really enjoyed playing this course. Good layout and great conditions even though the course had received a lot of water and was soaked.
Love the course. Will come back when the conditions are better.
We love playing the course, however the course was almost unplayable this time due to wet conditions. Had we known the course was this wet we would have cancelled.
Its been better
I see they're working on the irrigation system but it should be made known at the golf shop. Giving the time of year the course is in fair shape. The practice facilities are great. If you're not in the fairway you're probably in a tree root and dirt area. Just not the best bang for your buck if you plan on driving out of your way to play.
First rate course. Very Friendly staff.
Despite 22 inches of rain the week before, the course, while wet in spots was in great shape and the greens were true and fast. Great range, and short game warm up area. Great design with solid holes, including a good mix of solid par 5's and short par 4's.
The Course is great,Play was very slow
The golf course was in great condition for this time of the year. Nice views and beautiful holes. The pace of play was slow however.

Always in great shape and a friendly staff
My friends and I always enjoy playing Carter plantation and even drive an hour each way to do so. It is well worth the trip. The driving range, putting green, and chipping areas are always fully stocked with balls and in great shape. I remembered from my first trip there recognizing the super friendliness of the staff, it has that small town talk to everyone feel. The course is very well kept and is quite challenging offering many tee boxes to choose from. It is worth the drive. On a side note, I left my credit card there last time and called them up; they mailed it to my house no problems and didn't even charge fees for not closing it or the hassle. The little things is what counts. Enjoy
Nice course and great value
I have played Carter Plantation several times and every time the course is in great shape and the staff is always very helpful. I will be back soon.
Great layout with a good variety of holes.
Fun golf course. A course where you get to use all of your clubs. Good shot values.
Greens roll beutifully
Great course for the money. Greens are in excellent condition and fairways are nicely cut.

One of the best courses in Louisiana. 45 minutes from New Orleans or Baton Rouge. Always in great shape! Great Service from Bag Drop to Pro Shop to Beverage/Food Service. Great Golf Course Food! Incredible greens and fairways! A Must Play!
Great course if you are ever in the area
Have some property down there so I went online and read up on it. Very nice layout, challenging but fair.
