Beautiful course
What a beautiful course! Just about every hole could be the cover for a advertisement for the course. Many long holes, very few short, some rolling hills, great scenery and wildlife, challenging greens, pins always in a different spot!!
Nice layout
Nice layout. Some slow groups, but they let me play through. Practice green was much faster than the real greens. Worth the price of admission.
Much Improved !!
WOW! I had not played here in a while and did not have high hopes, especially at the price we paid. This course is much improved, especially the greens, they're super smooth with a very true roll (South 9 are still a bit slower than the West 9.) Fairways were also in great condition. The only thing we could complain about is that some tee boxes had some patches with less grass and others were very hard making it hard to get your tee in the ground. We would very much play this track again!
Great Day golfing
The course was very nice - pace of play was a little slow - could have used a marshall.
Good Spot
I played on a day when it wasn't busy and had a fast round. The fairways are in very good condition; bunkers are so-so. Greens are not fast. Good facilities all the way around.
Great course as always
We played in 4 hours flat, including too much time at the turn (an outing had the grill clogged). We waited on the tee a few times, but kept moving just fine. My only issue: there was a group of 3 guys behind us that yelled for us to move it while we were looking for a ball in the rough, not OB, just the fairway rough. On the back nine, they had the ranger tell us to catch up with the group ahead of us, with whom we were keeping pace, that irked me tremendously. BTW the threesome behind us played extra quick because they didn't look for balls that they were launching into the woods, and they were parking their carts right next to the green.
Good Twosome
Course was a bit challenging but was in great shape and the weather was perfect for golf.
Good Course
I have played at Glenview before and the course met expectations again. It is a nice course with fair challenges. Pace of play was great especially for a Sunday morning (our threesome was done in 4:20). My only complaints for the course were it was overly moist and the greens were not maintained well. Seems greens were neglected a lot of divots had not been fixed.
Nice round
I enjoyed my 9 holes but the fairway grass was too long and especially the cut right outside the greens. But it was like that on all 9 holes so I adapted...
AWWWPAR
HAD FUN AND WITH ALL THE BAD WEATHER THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT CONDITION
Always a good option
Quality course with great routing. Choose the correct tees, it can get very challenging.
Conditions are great right now
besides the greens being a little slow the rest of the course was great. The pace of play for a Wednesday mid-day was very slow...people need to learn the etiquette of golf and let people play through if you are not playing at the pace of play. I love this course and will play it again soon.
Plays well after it rains
Great course too play, our foresome played on memorial day after a heavy rain. The course drained well and I played the best round of this year (87)
Good course to play
Great condition for being December..Was a fast round not to many people out playing that day..Booked on golf now .Good price..
Glenview says they only do 9 holes with Golf Now
When I arrived at the course and checked in I asked the guy at the clubhouse which two nines we would be playing. He told me that Glenview only books 9 hole tee times with Golf Now. My cost was supposed to be $20.00 even but he charged 20.and change. I like Glenview but I don't thin Ill use Golf Now to book again if they are only letting you play nine. The East side was BACKED UP. it was well over 2 hours to play
Best greens in Cincinnati
The course is in very good condition. The greens were in excellent condition but were a little slow. The course is not long or extremely challenging, perfect for most hackers. All holes are well marked.
Not what it used to be
I've played this course many times. Once it was one of the premier public courses in Cincy. Sadly, management has chosen to fill in many of the bunkers on the South and West courses. I assume this was to make it less costly to maintain. Many of the remaining bunkers were in terrible shape. I only saw one that was being rehabbed.
Fairways and greens were in pretty decent shape, but they have many dead ash trees to take out as a result of the emerald ash borer. They detract from the appearance of the course.
I won't go back this year.
Course is in great shape
Played on a Monday morning and it wasn't busy at all. Staff was friendly upon check in. Maintenance crew also gave helpful hints on where to place tee shot on a par 5. Course was in great shape, greens were very nice. Would definitely recommend to a friend
Good course
Performance by cost is good.
I want to play here again!
Had similar issue, booked with Golfnow for first time (last year). I found excellent price for 18 holes @ Glenview on a Saturday. Upon arrival I produced my confirmation with price and was told it was not correct, that it was a nine hole price not 18. Then I was told they do not do 9 holes only on week-end. I asked how I would have confirmation, the guy became agitated and said I if want to play I would pay the same price as everyone else, not true, factoring in my charge for booking, I paid more than anyone in Cincinnati to play Glenview that day.
