highly impress
was highly impress with this course the greens was one of the best I played on in this area course was well maintain will play it a lot more
Ranger needed
Was playing behind a group of six for the entire round, who would not let two people play through. Heat index over 100 and no water on the coolers.
Course was in pretty good shape.
Beautiful fairways
Loved the layout of the course. Greens were in great shape and so were the fairways. The bunkers were in really bad condition. Absolutely loved the last few holes around the lake. Go play this course it's well worth the money
had a good time
we had fun...the wind was blowing pretty hard, a brief rain shower just before we were on the tee, but we had a great time and the course was well worth playing.
Rough Around the Edges
I was in town for a project and happened to bring along my clubs. I found this place through the Golf Now app and I have to say I was a little disappointed for what I paid to play here. It was VERY rough around the edges, and the greens weren't the best - they were at least soft so you could stick an approach shot, but putting was a bit tough as the long grass and aeration scars made them hard to read.
The most troubling thing was the lack of a defined cart path. A few times I found myself lost and had to pull out the scorecard to interpret where the next tee box was.
Overall the course was pretty easy; the biggest challenge were the pine trees lining the fairway and encompassing some greens. If you had a stray shot into the pines, you had to be really good with a "punch" shot to recover.
Scoring a Hot Deal would be the only way I would play again here, but even then I would try to get in elsewhere. I played this course on Tuesday and then Lake Cumberland GC on Wednesday; there is no comparison between the two. Drive the extra 15 minutes to Lake Cumberland GC if you have the time, you'll be much happier with the quality and there isn't much difference in price.
All the city courses in Louisville KY would rank higher than this place, and they are all much cheaper too. Maybe this place was better several years ago and the money just isn't there anymore to maintain it?
Nice
Course was in surprising good shape for this time of the year and the amount of rain/snow we've had recently. I recommend it for all levels of play.
Good course, great value
The course is a good one. The ONE guy working seemed like a tool, but overall the course itself was a fun good test of skills.
Great for price
Love the low prices and the course is in pretty good condition everyday.
Great course for a great price!
The course is in excellent shape. The fairways have a few spots in which the grass was slightly shorter than you would hope it would be and there were a few bare spots, but this course is in much better shape than other courses in the area. This is a great value play for what you get!
Good course, great value.
The course was in good condition, bermuda fairways, bent greens. Well maintained.
Poor maint of course
The only part of course in good shape was the greens
Needs attention
Normally this course is in good shape, but not this time. I would recommend The Pines to almost anyone, but not until they do some Spring Cleaning! Everything, and I mean everything was pretty shabby looking.
Overall very nice course
I have played this course three times this year. Overall a nice course. Very good shape in the summer, played Nov 10 and the course was in need of some attention especially in the bunkers. The greens was still in very good shape.
Good course, reasonable green fees
The greens are in super shape for October and November.
this course needs different type of sand in bunkers. The sand is like clay mudd
The course has a good layout , greens are very small but in good condition. main problem i saw is bunkers were like mudd . They need some good sand in them. I would recommend playing here for flame deal price , but not if u have to pay full price. and the membership price is way to high, like 1200 bucks in total.I could see maybe 6 or 650 a year but not 1200 for caliber of course
