My biggest complaint was the number of people playing in a group. Even though the rules clearly stated no more than 4 in a group, I observed several groups with anywhere from 5 to 7. Really slowed down the pace of play.
a good place to play
the course was in good shape the greens was in good shape fairway was mowed and in great shape still need sand for the bunkers only bad thing was we had to wait 30 minutes for a cart to come in they had 8 or 9 carts tore up the belt broke on them the guy at the desk said the mechanic was coming that afternoon which he did we saw him trying out the carts he repaired a good place to play for the money
Just keeps getting better
The pines is such a fun course with challenges and plenty of opportunities to enjoy beautiful sights and sounds. Great staff, good carts, and the course is in great condition. 10 outta 10
Downhill
I’ve played this course many years ago when my Grandad was a member of the then called Pinewood Country Club. When I arrived this past round I was appalled at the confound of the course. Tee boxes were so dry it was nearly impossible to insert a tee. Fairways were overly long and mostly crabgrass. When I went into what used to be the mens lockerroom it smelled strong of urine and very unclean. I sure hope this improves…I was also very sad that the pool was filled in and there was no longer hot food able to purchased in between rounds.
Great place to play
Very nice place to play I love playing there , I will be back.
PLW Needs Some TLC
We had fun on an extremely hot, dry day despite no water stations on the course.
We booked our 2pm tee time based on living in the eastern time zone, but a review of the confirmation email had us at 3pm which didn't fit our schedule at all. A call to the pro shop pleasantly assured us they wouldn't be that busy and we'd go off whenever we got there, which turned out to be 2pm ET/1pmCT. Kudos to the staff for being flexible.
The course layout is old-style golf - early holes on the inside and late holes surround the perimeter. It's a fun course with very few water hazards, rock-hard bunkers and short rough.
A few long putts were made thanks to the greens running true. While playing a few of them were being watered. The fairways and tee boxes were another matter as the recent dry conditions have baked them into powdery dryness and bare spots. The rough has thankfully been cut short, so finding your ball is fairly easy.
I can safely say we will play here again when in the area.
Not awful for the money
It’s not a great course , However, it’s close to my sons college and we played for $11 each with Hot deal. We still had a good time and it only cost me $22. It was worth that.
Great course!
It's always fun playing the Pines at Lindsey Wilson! The greens are challenging but are all very consistent!

Played behind a group of 5 that would not let anyone through!
College town course
This course is convenient to locations around the Lake Cumberland community. Gives another activity when you tire of boating. Frankly, it has been in better shape , but expect that is due to staffing shortages and weather concerns hitting all businesses. We enjoy playing this course as it is not too challenging for our level of play.
