Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club
About
Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club offers the traditional links course reminiscent of those found in the British Isles, situated amidst Virginia's horse country. The club gets its name from the land's former use, a raspberry field. The scenic terrain overlooks to Catoctin Mountains and there are still a few raspberry bushes dotting the course. By far the layout's most formidable challenges come from the deep, stacked pot bunkers that make it truly feel like a classic Scottish golf course. There are also water hazards on a few holes. The course's signature is the par-4 third hole, which is long but plays downhill all the way. The 10th hole, another par 4, is one of the toughest. The landing area is generous off the tee but there is a creek and pond to the left and fairway bunkers on the right.

Surprised at the condition of the course!
Temperature was 100 degrees that day. The course was in bad shape, burnt out. Greens were rough. Cart path only! I understand due to the lack of ability to water the course. Really surprised as course was in great shape when I played it last year.
A shame!
It’s shameful that they charge what they do for this course in the shape it is right now. Maybe it’s just that it’s in terrible shape every couple of years when I play it?? Unfortunately, this country is all about building homes/office space so all the other public courses around have been closed. This action leads to this being one one only a few public courses within 25 miles so they feel they can charge whatever. Actually, even at $60 I doubt I would play it in the condition it’s in. Bill Run is in better shape. Stonewall is in better shape. Skip this place until they use some of the ridiculous fees they charge to actually take care of the course.
Not Worth the Greens Fees
This course is plagued with gnats and other bugs. If you stand still on the tee box, on the fairway, in a bunker, or on the greens you’ll be inundated with a cloud of gnats. The average level of care for the course is moderate to mediocre. The layout of the course is fairly easy; very little challenge at all, with the exception of some high backed bunkers. The starter rushed us to the first tee 10 minutes ahead of our tee time and demanded that we tee off. Not worth the money. A regrettable experience, considering the money I spent.
Very nicely designed layout. Great pace. Well maintained. They need to order more golf carts though!
Razzzzzz
Great track- loved everything about raz falls!!! Staff was friendly- course / greens / fairways all in great shape- will definitely play this gem next time I'm near DC!!! Loved It
Raspberry Falls
Overall I like the course. A bit pricey for the course. I would suggest the staff make a strong recommendation at the first tee to have players fix their ball marks on the greens. Seems like no one felt it was necessary to fix them.
Very enjoyable!
The course is great as usual. We just happened to be playing on a day after the greens were aerated and top dressed making putting pretty rough. Other than that, top notch golf course in a couple weeks again! I will be back!
Fantastic Course!!!!
This is an excellent designed course that is very forgiving considering the amount of trees all over. We will definitely be back. Beautiful course!
