Overall Solid public course
Greens were aerated but overall course was in good condition and pace was decent for a Saturday. Back 9 plays much shorter than front. First 4-5 holes felt like they were identical par 5/long par 4s (basically long/straight fairway with no deviation).

Great for the casual golfer
Course was in good condition. Layout is very flat layout with not much variation from hole to hole. Relatively easy course with not too much trouble as long as you keep it somewhat in play.

Beware -- Better yet don't go
1. Greens were aerated and sanded but no one told us and no one cut the rate.
2. Beautiful spring day so they did all they could to make it play slooooow - allowed walkers on the course, made it cart path only although very little casual water mainly in traps and some rough.
3. Marshalls did not nothing to speed up my nearly 5 hour round.
4. Two cash registers inside but both taking tee time money; had to beg to get a drink at the turn.
5. There was OK parking (my mother taught me to say something nice.)

Easy course
Tee boxes and putting greens were recently repaired. Pace was excellent. 18 holes in 4 hours, 10 minutes

The Gonk
Another great round @ the Gonk. Frost delay was to be expected, golfers please don't get mad @ the course - frost delay protects it for future rounds! Pace was very good considering the lengthy delay.
The front 9 of the Gonk is flat and tree lined, and can play long. Back 9 is more open, a creek runs through it leading to some "decision golf" ...
Overall you can't beat $23 to walk $13.5 for 9 ... if you aren't walking, why aren't you? The Gonk is the most walkable course out there imo.
Staff are awesome.
When you play, fix your ball marks and be mindful of your pace!
