The Links at Lake Erie
About
The Links at Lake Erie is one of southeastern Michigan's most popular public golf courses. The course sprawls across gently rolling terrain that is mostly open though there are a few trees scattered throughout. Without any residences near the golf course to worry about, the spacious layout provides plenty of room off the tees and around the green complexes. The greens are often receptive to bump-and-run pitches and approaches but their subtle contours can be tricky as well. The golf course has a classic Scottish links feel with mounding separating the fairways and high grasses throughout. There are 31 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on 11 holes. The Links at Lake Erie is a fair test but overall it's player friendly enough for mid to high handicappers and even gentle enough for beginners.

nice course, good value
course was in good shape, they got us out about a half hour early which was a plus, only complaint is restaurant was open but they we're not cooking at lunch time for some reason, got a wrap out of fridge and it was 2 days past due.
Good shape and challenging
Ok so after my first time on the course, I thought it was pretty good overall. The fairways and greens are in good shape, and there are bunkers and water all over the course. The layout is pretty challenging, and while it's not a long course, it does force you to be very accurate off the tee. The clubhouse and bar area are nice, and the drinks are cheap overall.
I'll go back again for sure, but play the back tees next time around. As a piece of advice for those going to play the course, keep your driver in the bag if you tend to spray it all over the place...you're better off taking a fairway wood or long iron off most tees...Accuracy is paramount if you want to score well on this track!
like the course
The course is what you see is what you get. Some dog legs tricky. Just arrated.
