Tee Time Troubles
I called for two tee times on Sunday, August 9 for times the following Thursday. I was unable to fill the 2nd time so I called on Tuesday to cancel the 2nd time. The person I spoke with did not have me down for either time but could get us off 30 minutes earlier. I told him I'd take the time. On Wednesday one of our foursome called to ask if we could play a fivesome since another friend wanted to play. They said that they had no record of a time in my name!! So we went to another course in the area to play.
2 years ago we had a group of 12 - 3 times for a Sunday morning. When we arrived they had no record of our time but they did eventually get us off. I guess Eagle's Landing does not want our play!!!
Quality and Value
Play this course every year and have since it opened. It is always a challenge no matter your skill level. I have played similar courses and paid 2 or 3 times as much.
The staff is excellent. I always make a stop at the turn.
Excellent Course!!
Eagles Landing is a spectacular course and is in great shape. The greens are fast and the best they have ever been! Rangers do a good job keeping the pace of play moving. They have great customer service, along with the new horse shoe bar in the club house, stop by and try the German Hofbrau beer on tap!!
Nice course!
This has to be the best course in the Toledo area that I played all year! Course is in excellent shape! The greens are the best they've been all year....I noticed continued building going on so more improvements must be in the works....hats off to these new owners! Looking forward to watching the progress!
Friendly forgiving design.
Golf course is in excellant condition. The course is designed in an open forgiving layout, that allows you to enjoy your game, while still presenting 18 holes of challenging golf. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable compared to other nearby courses. Best local course I've played on this year.
Great course
Course was in great condition. Great round of golf
I wish Florida courses were this nice in the summer
On vacation from Florida, playing with borrowed clubs and had a great time. It's been abouth 10 years since I played here last and the course has matured wonderfully. Loved the greens. Great value and great staff, will be back next time we're in town.
Course is good condition
Greens were wet but rolling good and fast. Course layout is interesting. Some are challenging ( depends on wind) and some are bit funky
Nice course just needs a little work
Overall value for the money was great, when we got there it seemed like we would be a little packed but the pace was great and the staff was friendly is getting us out right around our tee time. The fairways and greens were in great shape and the greens rolled great. My only criticism would be that the rough was dried up a little with spots of very hard ground. All in all though I have played this course before and definitely will play again.
Wind Determines the Difficulty
First time player of this course from Arkansas. Found the course in decent shape with some areas of rough a bit dry/sparse. Course had a nice layout without houses too close to the course. A bit disappointed that areas where bunkers appeared to have been removed. Bunkers in those spots would have made course a bit tougher. What determines the difficulty of the course that day has to be the wind speed & direction. Wind was a solid 20 mph throughout the round w/ gusts to 35. Holes into the wind played an extra 50+ yards. Wind was prevalent out of the west/southwest when I played, so holes 4-6 & 10-13 played very hard. For $25 w/ cart before noon, it was a great value.
Turn Around
Since new ownership made purchase you can tell the course has made a big turn around from a couple years ago. It still needs some care to get it back to what it use to be, but it looks like it's headed in the right direction. It needs to be watered more often, was already drying out when we played it mid June.
Very Nice!
Course is in great shape, tees/fairways and greens are awesome! staff was very friendly, based on other reviews, I would also warn those about the wind as it sits directly across the street from lake erie....makes for a beautiful setting tho....fun course, will be back!!
Nice course to play
Nice, easy to play course. Well maintained woth friendly staff.
WAAAAY AWESOME COURSE
Super friendly and professional staff. This course is a true gem!!! Have extra balls for #18:). Will definitely have to come back again and again.
In great shape for this time of year
Played a few other courses in the area and tee boxes and greens are spotty after the rough winter but Eagles' fairways and greens are in really good shape. Greens will pick up speed as season goes on, but are rolling true. Rough is really coming in and makes the course play tougher. Clubhouse staff led by Sherry is always friendly. This gem by the Lake is returning to excellent conditions under new ownership...
Must Play
Played had fun and will play again drove 2hr to play and will do it again Nice...
Great round!
I came out on Easter Sunday, the weather was finally warm enough to get out and play! For the harsh winter, the course is in unbelievable condition! Greens were a little slow, but rolled great, the course had already mowed the tees and fairways which surprised me this early in the season. I have played at a few other Toledo courses and this was by far in the best condition. The lady working was very friendly and the beer prices are very reasonable for a golf course. I will definately be back to play at Eagle's Landing!
tough terrain with difficult greens
tight fairways, a lot of wind to contend with makes for a challenging day.
WOW-WOW-WOW
From the moment we arrived I knew we chose a great place to play! We were greeted by a very friendly lady in the bar area who was also doubling as the greens fee taker that day....she couldn't have been any nicer (and she wasn't bad to look at).....she efficiently checked us in and directed us to the cart area and the 1st tee....upon getting our cart we were also pleasantly greeting by the men arranging the carts for play that day. We step up to the first tee and were instantly impressed with the tee box conditions, and began our round....the rest of the course was just as good as our first impression off the tee....for mid-October play the course couldn't have been in better condition. I would absolutely recommend this course for anyone who hasn't yet found this little gem, I know I will be back!
We'll kept interesting course
I enjoyed playing this course. There are a variety of hole layouts including doglegs, ponds, creeks and slopes. I will be back.
