Fun course that's challenging but not overly so, with great views
I really like this course and took our son here for his first time here. It's challenging enough that it's not a cake walk, but not a beast either. There are some drainage issues in places that frustratingly came into play, which was disappointing. Overall, though, this course is well worth the trip.
Hot Deal
For the hot deal it's a yes. On a Wednesday the pace of play was a painful 5 hours and 20 minutes. No marshal and no beverage cart. The course owner was out in a group of 6 which is also super annoying knowing that isn't allowable EVER - even worse when pace of play is painfully slow.
Anyways, for the deal yes. Course is in rough shape. Tee boxes a mess, greens ok. Fairways a combo of mud, dry patches and rehab. Wish it would improve as a local but just not seeing it.
Good golf day
Very friendly staff. Back 9 extremely interesting and w diverse. Fun to play. .
Lots of Trouble
While Kahler isn’t long, there is trouble on every hole. Proper club selection is crucial to score well and if you’re not hitting the ball straight, you’re going to lose a lot of balls
Good course, great views
Staff was polite and greeted us by name. Course was layed out in a resort community. Great mountains views while playing. A little shorter course than what I am used to. but it was fun.
Vacation
Poor layout. Had to walk past the green to get the the tee box! Very hard to find tees!
Poor staging
We were told that the next group would start one half hour behind our group! We had people hit behind us before we we off the first fairway
Kahler Glenn is always a treat
When I’m passing thru I always stop and play
Karen and Alison are great!
Kahler Glen
Fun Course in good condition! Some fairways are narrow and require accurate shots. Greens were in very good condition. good value!!!
Surprised at how good it was.
I have not been here in a year but I was glad to see the course remains in excellent condition. It really is a beautiful location and you can tell that there is a great effort to make the place look good. The course was in great condition and there was no pressure on us at any time. It may have been one of the most comfortable locations I have ever golfed at,
While the course was beautiful, I was also surprised to find out how affordable it was to play there. Coming from the Seattle area, the cost out here is truly remarkable. The only negative was that the restaurant did not open until three.
However, while we were there and asking the questions strangers ask, we found a young lady named Karen. She is also the office manager. I can't remember a time when we were treated better by a complete stranger. She was so helpful and patient, it was obvious we were going to come back. Somebody in the organization thought it would be a good idea to have people there who had excellent customer service skills. It is nice t see that when you come to a place that you are not familiar with. It is the reason why we plan on returning tomorrow.
I would recommend this course over any other simply because of the venue and the people.
Worth the drive
It’s at least twenty minutes outside the town of Leavenworth, but it’s worth the trip. Beautiful scenery, good conditions and an enjoyable layout.
Fun course
It’s worth the drive out of Leavenworth to play this course. Good layout. Course was in great shape.
Mountain gem
Unique course off of US 2, was in great shape. Large greens with subtile breaks in them. Was busy but moved at a great pace. No moose though, like last week.
Walk in the woods
We come to Kahler Glen and stay in a condo once a year. The course is in great condition, Tee times are easy to come by. The course is challenging at least for me, elevation changes and doglegs are the norm.
