Gone down hill.
I remember this course being a good value. It has really gone down hill since then. The course seemed to be half dirt. I understand that it is still the beginning of spring, but in a lot of places, there wasnt even any hibernating grass. Just dirt. The grounds keepers really need to get this place back in shape. Had to consistantly move the ball off the hard dirt an onto some resembelance of grass. I will NOT play this course again.
Bad timing
It is a great course for the average golfer. The greens were punched and sanded which made them very slow but when they are normal they are pretty good. I love going to this course.
Spring Conditions
Was a bit windy and cool for a noon start, but sun came out and the day warmed nicely. The course is in spring conditions with the fairways and greens just aerated this week. Greens had been well filled in with sand, so some bumps but not a big problem. Some fairway areas were a bit bare but will recover quickly with some moisture. Staff is always friendly here which is nice. Enjoy the layout very much, and course is usually not crowded on weekdays. Price is reasonable which makes the experience a good value.
Great Value
Love playing this course. Casual, friendly fairly easy play.
Fun layout, poor condition
Course is consistently poor condition. It’s pretty annoying when you hit your drive right down the middle and your next shot is off dirt. Greens are pretty good though. I like the layout and the staff has always treated me really well.
Great for the time of year
Course was in really good shape for the time of year.
Course is always in good shape and has a good mix of distances and challenges. Super friendly staff and a great value.
Best value in the area
Love the course; Cart paths need re paving. Some fairways are really "thin"
Thanks for playing at Coyote Creek. As I'm sure you are aware, this winter was extremely dry with zero snow in November and December. To top it off temperatures have been unseasonably low the past 25 days, with many days of strong winds. This all adds up to grass not coming out of dormancy. The average high temperature over the past 25 days was 58 degrees, the average low was 29.5 degrees. I'm sure you are aware it takes ground temps of 50 degrees to grow grass. All that to be said, growing grass this spring has been extremely difficult. As you mentioned aerification was completed on every aspect of the golf course 10 days prior to playing which adds to the existing conditions. Our maintenance team works extremely hard at their craft and takes reviews like yours very seriously. I would invite to re-evaluate your review in 3-4 weeks when temperatures have increased and growing season has truly begun.
Thanks again for playing at Coyote Creek
