Wonderful experience as always.
It was a perfect 90 degree day and the course was in very good shape and the pace of place was not bad for a Sunday. Had a great day playing golf with my two grown sons.
Quagmire
We have played this course a few times a year, and enjoy it very much. This time the course was a mess, with excessive water everywhere. Cart paths had standing water on them in many spots, and various spots in fairways were also very soft. This issue brings out the worst in some cart drivers, as they apparently feel the need to avoid the cart path puddles, choosing to go just off the path. Of course, the area adjacent to the path is also waterlogged, resulting in deep muddy ruts being created by the cart. Some of the soft fairway spots had been marked, but others not, so again carts were creating muddy ruts. I asked the staff if there had been a sprinkler malfunction and they said NO. Also, the greens had an abundance of unrepaired ball marks, which lazy golfers had not repaired. Was very disappointed in the conditions on this day, and will likely not be back this season.
general comments!
The cart paths and around them are in bad shape. Pace of play is typically slower. I don't think players are "encouraged" people to keep pace.
Draft beers in the clubhouse are over priced, small cups, large price.
In general golf course is over priced, but people pay to play it still.
This course is typically easy to get on sans tournaments. Price and location are probably why.
The restaurant and beverage cart folks are always very friendly.
I would recommend, but pri$ey
Hello,
I would like to discuss your comments with you. Please send an email to ccgc@fortlutponco.gov. I noticed you played yesterday, our slowest pace yesterday was 4 hours and 20 minutes. I'd love for you to tell me how much faster you can play elsewhere on a busy Sunday. As for price, please share where you see lower prices as well.
Thank you for playing at Coyote Creek.
Great course for a quick trip up from Denver
This coursed ended up being much better than I thought it would. I have seen Coyote Creek in GolfNow forever and it is a good hour from my house so, I always figured it was a bit of a cow pasture in the middle of the northern Denver area. Love the course, layout was fun, greens were in great shape, people inside were friendly and we really enjoyed this. Worth an annual visit if you are far and if you are in Denver, good for your rotation of courses.
Thanks for the kind words. We'd love to see you again soon!
Management Control Lacking
We had two groups of 4 that jumped ahead of us while we stopped to use the bathroom after first 9.. The group behind us was driving up on greens with carts and continued to hit balls very close to us as we had two slow groups in front of us. On the last hole while on the green a ball flew over my grandson nearly hitting him.
We reported these issues but was told they couldn’t do anything. I suggested that better monitoring of play throughout the course might eliminate these vagrant violations.
Thank you for the feedback. Please reach out to me at ccgc@fortluptonco.gov.
18 holes on a Thursday
Good time playing golf with my new friend Andrew. We shot pretty well and had fun. Coyote creek is beautiful.
OKAY FOR A NICE DAY OUT
THE GREENS AND TEE BOXES WERE WELL MAINTAINED. THE PATHS ALMOST REQUIRED A 4X4. VERY ROUGH AND POOR CONDITION.
Excellent course!
Coyote Creek Golf Course is a hidden gem! It’s well maintained. The staff is very friendly and the price is a great value! I highly recommend this course!
Thank you for the great review. We'd love to see you again soon!
Good But Nothing Special
I was first off at 6:30 am. It was a good course but nothing special. The fairways could use some care as well as some of the rough. The greens are in great shape for being late summer. I'm not sure that I would return for another round as it is about 45 minutes away and I have several courses within a 30 min drive. Overall I would encourage people to at least play a round to say you have but not to expect to be very impressed with course conditions or amenities. Oh and the proshop should sell bug spray. I work with mosquito control and these were some of the highest landing rates I have ever experienced (I so a lot of work in the southern US and tropical countries). FOOORRRRE!
Thanks for the feedback. We have a planned cart path upgrade coming this winter. We also received .75" of rain around midnight that night. This is the reason for the dampness. Perhaps we should have been walking only?
