Port Royal Golf Course
About
Located on the shorefront of Southampton Parish, the Port Royal Golf Course is one of the most frequented public golf courses in Bermuda and it is even known as being one of Jack Nicklaus' favorites. Robert Trent Jones designed this 18-hole course, which hosts the Bermuda Open Championship every year. Doglegs and wind are just some of the factors that will challenge golfers on this course. The signature hole is the scenic and rather infamous 16th, situated precariously atop craggy cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. The hole requires a nearly perfect shot in order to reach the green. Port Royal Golf Course has garnered such a following that some golfers reserve starting time a year in advance.

Spectacular course
Magnificent views of the beautiful turquoise waters of Bermuda.
Amazing day!
Entire course to ourselves, amazing food afterwards along with excellent customer service, as always.
A lovely day
I was a visiting single golfer hoping to be grouped with someone fun and interesting. Boy, did I hit the jackpot. First, the caddie master Chris set me up with range balls and a tour of the grounds and made me feel completely welcome. I was paired up with 3 members who could not have been nicer. We played the course in 4 hours and 20 minutes, had a good back and forth competition on who had the best shot into the green and overall enjoyed each other 's company. What a great experience!! Thanks to Eunice, Ruey and Nancy for making a TPC Boston member welcome!
Best course in Bermuda
The course is challenging but playable. It’s in great condition due, in part, to the recent PGA tournament.
All the par 3’s are tough particularly if you play off the blue tees. The bunkers are now filled with PGA tournament standard sand so the bunkers require great contact to advance your ball.
Port Royal has some stunning ocean views. It’s a good test for all abilities of golfer.
Port Royal is Always in great shape
Amazing golf course. Well manicured. Absolutely breath taking views. You will not be disappointed.
Had the place to ourselves!
Well winds were 40+, if 50 makes the ball fall off the tee then we played in 46 mph winds..it was NUTS ..2-3 holes in sideways rain but having paid in advance the guys in the shop said "Well, if YOU guys wanna go out there then "have at it mate" and it was extreme golf but nonetheless we got the round in and it was fine if you had the right clothes and attitude! I have worked this course for the PGA events there over the years so I know it like the back of my hand!
Three days in Paradise
We stayed at Pompano Beach Club and our unit was on Port Royal Golf Course 8th hole. We played three consecutive rounds on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with 12 pm tee times each day The course is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Sound Bay. The views of the blue and aqua waters were spectacular. The first two days the weather was perfect and we had the course to ourselves. The third day was 23 mph wind which made the course very challenging on some holes and a little easier on those with the wind at your back. The sand traps which we had heard were dirt and not sand were filled with sand because of a PGA tournament back in October and overall the course was in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They cleaned and stored our clubs each day and one day they picked us up by our unit and drove us to the clubhouse. They have a cart with drinks and snack circling the course throughout the round and a nice 19th hole with excellent appetizers.
Primo Port Royal
Perfect day for this course. Light winds and sun. 75 degrees. Course is in excellent shape. Views amazing as always. Great staff. Only negative is the gas carts. Time to upgrade to electric.
Port royal
Loved the course but hate the way I played it, good laugh in the bar with some of the members, great day
Port Royal Play
Great course and the staff was terrific. Good pace of play until the back nine when things slowed down a bit due to a mix of players walking and cart players.
Course was being prepped for a pga event and the condition was horrible. No sand in the bunkers and greens were not cut. Ran about 6 on the stimpmeter.

What a fantastic course !!! Views, condition and staff AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
Terrific Experience!
My son and I celebrated his 23rd birthday on 7/24/19 playing at Port Royal. What a terrific experience!. The course was challenging and the scenery was breathtaking (be sure to check out the old British fort while playing). In addition, special appreciation goes out to Judy Scott at the Pro Shop, Caddie Master Chris Gibbons, and assistant manager, Steven Lambert, who all made the day even more enjoyable. A truly wonderful day!
Under construction
While this is normally a fantastic course, it is currently dry and under construction for the upcoming PGA event.
Half of the sand traps had no sand, and there was a backhoe working during play, but we were still charged the normal greens fees. This was disappointing.
