Alderbrook Golf Club
About
Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club is consistently ranked as one of the top 25 courses in the Pacific Northwest. The course is known for being one of the most scenic in Washington as well as one of the most playable. Though it's member owned, it's open to the public. Throughout the course you'll enjoy incredible views of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains. The layout is challenging but fair, offering a test of your skills without being overly punishing. Rolling fairways are lined with mature Evergreen trees and the large, fast greens make pin placement a challenge. The front nine is fairly tight but the golf course opens up on the back nine. Alderbrook's final hole is the layout's most memorable. Scoring par on this double-dogleg par 5 is something to be very proud of.

Nice course but not anything special
We picked Alderbrook because of the high Golf Now rating and a great online rate. The course was in nice shape, but it was not an "interesting" or challenging course. The greens were very tricky, I will say. Hats off to their clubhouse.....delicious food and reasonable price!
Good Times
Awesome place to treat some buddies without breaking the bank.
Course is in great shape. Greens are fast.
Ya!
Great course
I love this course. Greens are well kept. Staff is always friendly and helpful
The view equals the course, spectacular.
Excellent, excellent, excellent, definitely worth the drive, which by the way is also beautiful. This has to be one of the best course's I've played, a good mix of challenges, very well maintained.
Lots of fun!
I got the second best score ever! Even got one birdie! Had loads of fun! Would recommend to most average golfers!!!
Alderbrook
Had a great time and the course was great. I last played about 15 years ago. I know lot has changed with houses built and I liked it better, then, but the fairways and greens were in great shape. I think without Golfnow the price would be to high for the distance you have to travel from Gig Harbor.
Awesome day of Golf!
The course was in great shape , the staff was friendly so it made for a great family day on the course.
Gorgeous Setting
Beautiful, fun course. I really liked the fact that they had multiple tees to choose from. I am not a long hitter and I liked teeing of the gold tees. Greens were in excellent condition and moderately fast. The carts were nice, too. The pace of play was a little slow and we waited to tee off on most holes. Overall a really nice experience.
Great Place to Golf and Relax
The course is a very fun place to golf. They have a great outdoor seating area with typical bar food and drinks. The course is very well maintained and the people golfing there always seem to be friendly and courteous. For the price a very nice course.
A fun and challenging course
This is a fun course that is in great shape. Pace of play on a Saturday was kind of slow; about 5 hours. Many fairways are narrow and there are a couple holes where you must hit an iron off the tee. Wouldn't want to play it exclusively, but it is a fun course that I will play again.
Beautiful course
A nice breeze, beautiful scenery and wandering doe and her fawns. Course is in excellent condition. Nice new bathrooms on #5.
Hidden gem on the south shore
A truly nice golf day awaits here. Very we'll maintained course, with the scenic Olympic mountains and hood canal . Challenging front nine and scorable back .
Fun course with a challenge
Nice day on the course. Warm weather with a breeze. Course in great shape, tees a little beat up but fairways and greens were good.
Great value with Golf Now with a cart.
the course was in excellecondition
it had been about 15 yrs since i had played this course and it did not disapoint. the course was in excellent condition and i noticed a lot of emprovments since i played last especially the new club house. the main thing about this course in my opino is hole 18 when you approuch your ball after your tee shot and you see that view it is amazing i gaurentee that it will not be 15yrs before i play it again
Fun Outing
Played with spouse and friends. Good tee options for all. Beautiful setting - fragrance from fir trees, but adequate fairway width to keep ball in play. Go and have fun!
Z hole is great
My day was great. Of course hit couple bad shots that I paid for.
some quirky holes
this course is in good shape with some unusual holes layouts... tees=A fairways=B+ sand=B+ rough=B+ greens=B... nice views but this is a warm weather and dry conditions course... this area can be wet
A pleasantly serene golfing experience
Alderbrook is a hilly and somewhat narrow course that offers well maintained fairways and greens. Very different from a lot of courses I have played with pleasant surroundings and some narrow fairways. I used my 3 wood more than normal, but driver can be played on several holes. Carts are in good condition and the food and staff are of good quality.
The course is close to our home in the summer
The course moves along pretty good...some challenges on holes with blind doglegs. The fairways are open, the staff is friendly and has a good place to practice golf before playing. We always enjoy golfing at Alderbrook.
Spring has sprung
Nice day at Alderbrook - for late March that is. I love this course when the weather is wet. We escaped any serious precipitation. Greens were a little quicker than I expected for this time of year but they hold well, are fair and run true. Sand was actually dry and loose. I really should play here more often but get distracted by all the other opportunities in the peninsula/south sound area.
