West at Rogues Roost Golf & Country Club

A few days of rain before, course was wet. I like to play at this course at least once or twice a year.

I believe this course was built on former swamp land. It was wet ball wound burrow into the ground there were ruts all over. I'm not sure if this place ever drys out if it does then it wouldn't be a bad place at all as it is a wide open layout. The best part was the greens no doubt about it they were in very good to excellant condition and well maintained. I'm not sure how the even cut the grass there it so wet without sinking. The bar and food were great

Very enjoyable course. Nice layout, some fun challenging holes.

Staff were friendly and the food we ate after our round of golf was very tasty. I would go there just to eat and have a drink. If it was closer to my home I would be a regular.

Was supposed to play the East Course at Rogues Roost, but the recent weather has made the East too wet to play. The West was still wet, but the conditions were still playable with comfort. The wind made the course a little challenging, especially with some of the holes being wide open. The course was great though, and the greens were rolling very well. The fairways were dry enough to play, and the rough was long, while still being tamed. The food in the restaurant, at the turn, was great, and the staff was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this course to anyone I know for a fun afternoon round, and am excited to play the East course when the course dries up.

Course was playable, but the fairways were soft, as were the greens. A good thing for the greens as approach shots stuck, but the fairways required playing "lift and replace". It was really pretty good considering the weather we have had in CNY.

This is where all mid to high handicappers want to play. Not too long-just right from white tees-about 5800 yds. Long courses 6200+ are foolish for this type of player. Fairways are neither narrow nor extra wide, but only lost one ball for round. The best thing are the greens, small but very easy to put on. I would say the greens are the best to put on all year I played throughout Central NY. The putting grass is short, but the balls go very accurate to the hole. They are not lightening fast like some courses.

All in all I would say you get a true roll, which is very seldom to be found.

The course is in terrific shape ...especially since it is only late April.

My friends and I played twice within the last three days. Both times, we played an extra 9 holes, as the courses were in excellent condition, and the price was certainly right-$14 for 18 holes incl. cart. $8 for 9 holes cart fee. Hoe can you go wrong? The staff is friendly, the courses are in fantastic shape, we have made a habit of playing there when we can. It is a 45 minute drive for us, and it is well worth it.

had a nice day golfing with my wife, course was in pretty good shape, weather was great. Not sure if it was my GPS or a web site but directions would have taken us to the wrong location (we had played the East course before).

Course was nice, very small greens. Greens were fast canted hard from back to front. Many of the greens have run offs. Fairly open so you can miss. Lay up at the 10th hole to about 230 or else in the water. Some of the staff Wow.

Great weather and golf game with a good friend. Nice wide fairways with fairly small greens. Greens were good but could be better if players fixed their ball marks. Must be a nightmare for the greens keeper. Overall a very good course and fun to play. Played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours.

Not a bad course for the money. It was in descent shape. Greens were ok. Nice layout. Got a very good deal on golf now.
