Nice course+ fast play
Played there first week of June. Relatively easy layout with a lack of sand and water hazards. Greens played true with little breaks. Open fairways was forgiving for errant shots. Played whole round with 1 ball. Quick pace of play was exilerating. I'd play the course again.
Good value
Course was in great shape
Has very challenging hole
Other than the few groups in front of us who were playing a scramble event, pace of play is usually good!
Great condition after awful weather
Our weather in CNY so far has been extremely wet. I was pleased that camillus country club with it's natural drainage and engineered drainage was in really good shape.
The staff was very pleasant, courteous and helpful.
Totally enjoyed my round. Oh, their new clubhouse is awesome.
Camillus CC - Awesome Course
This was my first time playing Camillus Country Club in a few years, and I was able to play two rounds on back to back days. The greens were rolling unbelievably fast, and the fairways were in great shape! The rough was thick and made it a decent challenge, if you miss the fairways. The elevation changes throughout the course made it even more challenging, and the trees line every hole, making accuracy necessary for scoring. There aren't many water hazards, and the water hazards that do exist aren't very relevant. Multiple holes have bunkers, and they can offer a challenge for those who are not very accurate on approach shots. I shot 78 (+6) for my first round, and pulled off a 72 (Even Par) for my second round. Excited to play this course again, soon! I would recommend this course to anyone I know, whether the player is experienced or inexperienced.
Great Course!
This course is in great condition! Always challenging with its hilly terrain. Greens were fast and consistent.
Just the way I like them. As far as scenery, you will not find a prettier view of the city and the countryside.
A definite must play when in the Syracuse area.
awesome course!
camillus country club is in my top 3 courses to play. its always kept up and the staff is awesome. its a must play!
Camillus redo
Jivi has done a great job on the rebuild of the
clubhouse.
The course has really been continually improving
in the last several years.
The greens are rolling well this year and the fairways are well cut.
The rough is fair, the tee boxes are a bit too slanted
with the right sides a bit too high, need to be more
level.
The cart paths are a bit rough, but we usually
walk the course and that wouldn't be an issue.
I really love this course, top 5 in our area, in my
not so humble opinion.
Great condition!
As usual CCC was in great condition...staff is friendly and attentive. New clubhouse is very nice.....the post round lunch is pricey, with a limited menu (and no hot dogs-if you can believe it!) We think they are trying to cover the cost over runs of the new clubhouse with every burger sold!
WOW. tremendous club
This is a great course with several challenging holes with amazing vistas. More "blind" tee shots than I am used to, but given the rolling hills/drumlins, it's expected. # 9 is a super hole: blind tee shot up a hill, then a 180 yard shot down hill to a water protected green. I later learned that it used to be a par 5. I thought it was, and felt brave "going for it". The brand new clubhouse is SPECTACULAR. Nice lunch at the bar with a couple of groundskeepers. They agreed that the only course improvements needed were the potholes when driving from tee area to gorgeous fairways. I will drive an hour to play there again. I played nearly alone on a cool, windy day midweek and had a blast.
Camillus CC
The course was in great shape. Interesting layout, with plenty of elevation and somewhat tricky greens, depending on pin placement. Cart paths need some work. Do yourself a favor and take a cart. New clubhouse is opening soon. Will return.
CCC great course
This is a very hilly course. Be sure to rent a cart! Holes are tough, especially some of the greens as they have undulations. But it was in great shape, as it usually is. No problems with water on the course/fairways. They have been working on the new clubhouse for over a year and it should be completed soon.
Terrific day
Perfect weather for a round in the middle of October. 75° and sunny but a bit windy. The course was playing exceptionally well for this time of year and the pace of play was terrific everyone should play this course.
Great Day on a challanging course
Midweek play with a Hot Deal, 74 degrees, and sunny with maybe only 2 other groups on the course. What better conditions could you ask for. Several blind shots make it very interesting, but when there's no one in front or behind you, you've got the time to ride the hole to see where you've got to hit it. Greens aren't aerated yet and the leaves haven't fallen. Fairways, rough and greens are all in great shape, now it they'd only get the new clubhouse built this would be the total package. Several holes have very tough pin placements. All in all, I'd say it was a perfect day.
Camillus
Decent course, for the price you can't go wrong. Lots of elevation changes, but seemed to play shorter than the yardage. Green in above average condition, fairways were ok. Driving range was not great, but again for the price of a round here you can't really complain.
Great experience
Well established course with elevation changes and tree lined fairways. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens are in very good condition. New club house is under construction; temporary facility is currently used. Excellent value. Will definitely play this course again.
