Bristol Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Center

After a half hour drive to get here the course surprised us to be "Walking Only!" Having never faced this before we made sure they meant we had to carry our bags, something none of us had done in years! However, they did have a limited supply of pullcarts which we took advantage of.

Walking to the first tee revealed that Bristol Oaks is a muni-type course with many fairways running parallel to others. A couple of rainy days left some fairways rutted and muddy.

Then on the par 5 third tee another surprise - "This hole is closed. Please proceed to the next tee." A worker nearby explained they were installing a new irrigation system around the course and it happened to be Hole #3's day.

Although it was exhausting, the course is laid out well with very few doglegs and water hazards. But, the greens are well-maintained and the generous bunkers don't come into play that often. Given another opportunity with better conditions we look forward to playing here again.

This is a great value course. For what you pay it is worth it to go out and play. I will say we have gotten heavy rain fall and they had an outting that destroyed the course. They should have canceled that outting, those people had no respect for the course with how wet it was. The fairways are covered in cart tracks and it’s now almost unplayable. The greens were covered in unfixed divots. The rough is just overgrown at this point. The course was good at the beginning of summer. Last year and previous year the greens were terrible, but it has gotten better. I would wait to play here because they are putting in new irrigation and the course has a long way to go to be in good condition. They should not be having outings as much as they do without repairing the course.

Even though a few holes were under irrigation construction, the course was in good shape...a few greens had damage....will play again this season.

Had a 3:18pm tee time. Got to the 1st tee only to encounter 2 foursomes already on the tee box,..said they were part of an outing that was playing there. Instead of playing in a timely fashion, I witnessed them asking the bev cart girl to hit a tee shot while they got there phones out to video. The bev cart girl certainly could’ve declined, especially since she was working and not on the course to hold up play (which was definitely happening). The bev cart was sitting at the first tee for al least 5 minutes, all while out tee time was apparently not an issue for them. Took us 2:45 hours to play the front nine….no ranger in site. Not a single visit from the beverage cart in the entire time we played, all 18 holes.

The course was in very poor shape, especially multiple greens that had almost a 1/4 of the greens unplayable due to the grass dying out for some reason. I won’t be back

Bristol Oaks has a been a place I have been trying to get to for a while, and Im glad I finally did. The driving range is very nice flat range with lots of targets ($7 for a small bucket and not great balls is a little steep. From there I am a huge fan of the putting green in walking distance to the 1st tee that was great. The course is fairly open and straight forward with nice tree line fairways. The conditions were better than I expected for $35 course. Fairways were very nice green were smooth and rolled very true. #2 is a great short par 4. At only 289 yards and a big dog leg left you really have hit two well positioned shots to have a chance at birdie. #7 is a fun dog leg par 5 where you have to choose how much you want to cut. I got very lucky and had just a 9 iron into the green. Half way house service was very good and big delicious $5 hot dog is the way to go . #15 is a beautiful par 3 measures 153 yards over a pond with creek along side. Finally you end with the par 5 up hill dog leg right to a bunker protected green, and a green with prolly the most tilt and undulation of all the greens there. I definitely recommend this as a value course to get out and play.

Even with all the rain we have had course was in fantastic condition.
