White Birch at Brighton Dale Links

About
There are two 18-hole golf courses available at Brighton Dale Links, White Birch and Blue Spruce. There is also Red Pine, a nine-hole, par-36 course. All three courses are known for their beautiful setting, tucked away amongst cathedral pines and forests of deciduous trees. The marshland and lakes provide a scenic contrast to the abundance of trees that cover the rolling hills. At 6,977 yards from the back tees, White Birch is the longer of the two championship courses by about 300 yards and it offers the slightly tougher challenge. Water comes into play frequently as do strategically placed bunkers. The towering trees that line the fairways and frame the holes pose the most intimidating threat though. Accuracy is essential and good course management will be generously rewarded.

This review is for White Birch.
Pace: Early morning, so I had the course all to myself.
Conditions: Perfect. Tees were good; fairways were being mowed; green were good (repair your ball marks); bunkers were great.
Staff: Very helpful. Quick check-in and sent right to the tee. Also, called the day before and whoever answered was very helpful as well.
Value: Checked my receipt and I payed $44 for a "M-F Unlimited 18H" offer. I played the Blue course right after I played the White which makes this offer amazing.
Layout: Long par 3s (2 over 210+ yards). Good variety of Par 4s, and the Par 5s are challenging (that tee shot on #6... yikes). Very walkable.
It seemed like I spent the whole round 1 hole behind the maintenance crew, so every hole was perfect when I got to it. A nice walk through the trees, with some hills and some water, but nothing overwhelming.
Love this course
We golf at many locations and this is one of our favorites. Love the course and the staff. { The staff bends over backwards to help a golfer out. } I can't say enough about this place. !!!!!!
One Course Down, Two to Go
We played the White course on a gorgeous summer day. This course was in great condition. Only a little bit of problem from all the rain remains. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in very good condition. This course is well worth the travel to play it. Now we just have to come back and test out the Blue and the Red.
Great day for golf
Weather was great. Pace of play was a little slow on front nine. Foursome of women’s league all four were walking. But back nine was normal pace. Had the refreshments wagon running all day and had great selection.
As always great course and long fairways. Nice and green.
45 holes to play
First group off and played 18 in 3.5 hours! Course is in GREAT shape. Would play there again in a heartbeat.
WET but very playable
We played after several days of hard rain. Carts had to stay on cart path but that was obviously necessary. The course played very fairly and challenged us. We expected to get muddy but we're pleasantly surprised that we didn't because most of the course drains very well. A very enjoyable afternoon.
Rainy day
Would have cancelled the round if it wasn't a hot deal. Unfortunately you can't. It was rainy, foggy, and a little chilly. Golf now should let you cancel if rainy. Ciarse was in great shape.
Outings
First nine took 1 hour. Then we ran into the outing. Second nine took 3 hours. Not good. No warning that there was going to be an outing there when I made the reservation.
I am sorry you had a bad experience for pace of play. We always schedule our tee times based on 2 hours per nine and 4 hours for 18 holes. It is hard to predict a fast group that plays 9 holes in 1 hr. I appreciate your feedback and hope you will come play here again.

Perfect day
Great weather and round under 4 hours. A few places with ground under repair but not much.
Thanks for the great comment please come see us again soon!
The course has made a great comeback since earlier season flooding.
Brighton dale is a fantastic peblic facility. 45 holes and not a bad one in the bunch. We had played the Blue course since the monsoons of 6 to 8 weeks ago. That course sits a little higher and the lasting damage was alot less than on the White, which we played yesterday. There are areas that show the lasting effects of "storm of the century" type rain. Everything was playable and the greens and tees were the usual excellent quality. I never hesitate to play Brightondale, especially coupled with GolfNow Hot Deals.
Thanks for the great comments we appreciate the understanding that you showed from our storms.
Nice course
I think overall it was a nice course, but they had some rain problems which had damaged few of the fairways which turned to get you off your aiming zones. I shot four over in the front nine before it gets very humid and hot
Thank you for the comment please come see us again soon as the course is looking better and better every day.
dead grass
half of the course was covered w dead grasses and we had no warning for that sucks
I am very sorry that you were not warned of the dead grass. I hope the non damaged parts of the course were enjoyable. Please feel free to call the golf shop and ask for a manager we would love the opportunity to earn back you business.
Not good
I was very disappointed with this course. We went because I saw they had good reviews on their site and on golf advisor. Totally not what I expected. We got pretty bad service. The gentleman at the desk was pretty rude when we asked what he meant by playing the "reds to the white". He also kept hanging up the phone on us as soon as he answered a question about the course and didn't give us any time to ask another question. The course was damaged by a recent storm and the turf looked and smelled terrible on some parts. Over all I must say that's it's the worse one we have ever played at. Definitely will never go back or recommend.
I am very disappointed to hear of your poor experience. Unfortunately there was some bad flooding and the course was not in normal playing conditions for you. We would love to have you back out to the course and see it in its normal playing conditions. If you have the time please call the golf shop and ask for a manager and so we can show you our true golf experience.
Nice Course, SLOOOOOOWWW play
Nice course, played the other 18 last time, first time on the second 18. Front played OK, 2.25 hours for 9, could have been faster. Back 9 was unbelievably slow. 2.5 hours for 8 holes and quit. Didn't even finish. Lot's of ball marks on the greens, apparently the people who play there don't know how to repair the ball marks.
Thanks for the feedback I am sorry you had average or below average experience. Please give us another chance sometime as this is not the norm.
The course was in fair condition. But, we could not golf the white birch course that we paid for due to it being flooded. Wish we were notify of this cause it's a half hour drive for us three guys. We golfed the Blue Spruce out there all the time and it's boring.
I am sorry nobody notified you of the poor conditions. We would love to have you out on the White Course which is now recovering well. Please contact us soon and give us another chance at your business.
Thank you!
