Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Beautiful course!
Absolutely a beautiful course. The greens are tight! Solid short game is a must at this course - found myself over shooting my second and third shots! That’s golf!
Nice but narrow
Course is well maintained and some variation of holes. I would have given a higher rating except I’m not a big fan of narrow and short courses.
Unfriendly staff
The starter was unfriendly to me and my friend when we checked in, and then was super friendly and joking around with his friends that ended up being in the group behind us. We were paired with another twosome that was slightly slow, but we were waiting for a few minutes for the group in front of us as most holes so it shouldn’t have been a big deal. Except the group in front of us was fast and kept calling to the rangers, who were harassing our group and riding with us telling us to stepped up for multiple holes the entire round, when we were right behind the group in front of us. It made the experience miserable. Also, the course is a little gimicky, with short par 4s where you can’t hit driver, and then really long pars 3s. One positive I will say is course is very well maintained. Still, I would stay away if you have other options
Great round
Had an 1158a tee time playing with my son. We were paired with an older couple who were both solid players course was in very good shape and we completed the round in under 3:45. All great
Little town course.
Found the 2 pm available on Fathers day. Super short course and layout setup as typical short courses. i.e. la lot of short par 4’s and 5’s paired with long par 3 and one or two super long par 4. .
Pace of play was bad because most people were beginners. There was a fathers day event with kids also but that wasnt the reason the pace of play was bad. Uphill 265 yard par 4…. People were waiting to tee off until the group was done. Smh. 1. Take an short iron and play like par 4. 2. These folks never hit a driver longer than 200 yards and they were waiting for the front group to finish putting…
Greens rolled true. Decent speed. Bunkers were ok.
Not worth the money if non resident
On course ranger was awful
I had my young kids out for Father’s Day. The knuckleheads behind us literally hit shank shots into us coming off 5th green. On course ranger was more concerned with our pace of play than the fact my 9 year old almost go clocked. Meanwhile the clown who hit the ball 40 yards off line said maybe my 9 yo shouldn’t be out there. Maybe if this 35 handicap didn’t hit it 40 yards off line his pace of play would be better. I’ll never go back - way better places to play
Amazing job with the greens
The entire course is incredibly in good shape. The pace of play is incredibly short, which is a good thing played my last round in about three hours. The greens were in the best shape of any course I’ve played all year not even close. You could see the maintenance crew working Consistently to keep the course in good condition. It’s unfortunate that a few members give them a hard time but if you’re resident or even a nonresident. The maintenance staff was the friendliest I’ve seen
Great round
First time I played all year and did so with my son. Under four hour round and were matched with a couple who were good golfers and great people. Course was in great shape!
Old Emmet Course
That has been altered a lot. Course has a solid layout and greens that have been flattened out. Course conditions were good.
