About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Good Experience
Positives
+ Staff: Very friendly staff at the pro-shop and Andy at the Starter Desk. Friendly, Funny and they will help make you feel comfortable.
+ Pro-Shop: Well stocked Pro-Shop that is attached to a decently stocked vending machine with small bites and hydration drinks.
+ Pace of Play: Good pace of play. Note - I played on a Wednesday - Afternoon Tee-time and we were a 4 ball. Being a semi-private course it was not 'over' crowded that allowed for a good pace of play.
+ Course: The course is challenging. I am putting this as a positive as this challenges your game / shot shaping (vs) just hitting it long. Fairways in good condition.
+ Water Stations: Multiple options thru the round.
Negatives
- Half Way Hut: very basic with little options for a bite to eat. We also did not get an option to order ahead and thus had to rely on packaged snacks.
- The Greens: Currently recovering from the aeration process and thus inconsistent with their speeds. Not enjoyable. However, this will only improve in the next few weeks.
- Limited Tee-times on GolfNow as priority given to members (rightfully so). However, wish there were more options to book.
Overall: A course that is definitely worth playing often.
Great course
Every golfer loves challenging play, well maintained terrace n, friendly staff and this ticked all the boxes.
Great amenities
The course doesn't feel like a championship course, as advertised, as it is well short in yardage. However it's kept very well, greens roll very true 👍
Well worth it
Pro shop and starter very good. 10th hole snack shack not so good - high prices minimal choices. Plenty of water fountains on course so bring a water bottle.
What a Difference Two Weeks Makes!
Last time I played the course, on July 26, the club was completely slammed with golfers, tennis players and assorted others. I had to park at the far end of the lot to get a space and take a shuttle tram to the clubhouse. Yesterday, there were only a handful of cars in the lot and few golfers on the course. Played 18 in 3:30 as part of a two-some. Kids are back in school and adults are back at work, so what a pleasure to have the course almost to myself.
Nice course, enjoy playing it.
Last 9 holes more challenging than the first ones.
Overall recommended.
