Cherry Hills Lodge & Golf Course
About
Cherry Hills Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling countryside in Sturgeon Bay. The layout tumbles across a variety of elevation changes that make for some challenging, hard-to-read greens. Some have even compared them to Pinehurst's famous greens. Be prepared to have your short-game skills thoroughly tested. The front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine where the fairways are narrower and many are lined with out-of-bounds stakes. Water hazards come into play one four holes and there are a few strategically placed sand traps. The golf course is challenging but fair and not too intimidating for beginners, especially since at just over 6,200 yards, it is a manageable length. In addition to the course, there is also a lighted driving range at Cherry Hills G.C.

Course review
Very challenging course. Became frustrated with lack of signage on course. A few more signs for first timers to the course would be great.
A great course
My hubby & I stayed @ Cherry Hills Resort. The golf was A MAZ ING! So accommodating, we teed off 4 days in a row, just the 2 of us, which was great cuz hubby is recovering from rotator cuff surgery & im an average golfer. No stress, no one breathing down your back. Challenging course, signature holes (5 & 15 that are unbelievable! Can’t wait to go back!
nice course, great value
Haven't play this for a few years - much better condition this time. fun layout - some interesting holes -11 - the most irish style of hole I've seen in Wis - rolling fairway, elevated and slightly hidden green - and 15 - a par 4 where the second shot is hit off a cliff down to the green. Really fun course and a great value. Seems slightly less busy, since it is a bit south of the busiest tourist areas of Door County.
Fallen on hard times.
I played this course a lot in the 90's and early 00's. The greens were some of the best in the county and the fairways while unwatered were well maintained. The little hut by the 10th tee was always a great place to grab a beer and a
brat. A few owners later the course is in rough shape. The greens have issues and are uneven, more rough has grown up on an already tight course. The hut at the turn has closed, and the cart paths are beyond rough.
Quick Door County Golf Escape
Nice course, reasonably priced that does not get bogged down with congested play.
Eighteen holes can be played easily in three hours.
Great course
Course is short but challenging. Great scenery and use of the natural layout
Needs work
Rough fairway conditions and not much signage to direct to the next hole Good greens .
Could be great
This course has an interesting, varied layout that provides a variety of challenges. I really want to love it, but I can only say like because there continue to be condition problems, despite the advertising that they have rededicated themselves to improving those conditions. Many tee boxes were in rough shape, and several of the greens had areas of burn out and poor maintenance. No refreshments available via cart. I hope they are in a transition for these things. I'll play it again.
Fun course!
Very nice staff and nice course layout. Not too challenging but very fun. Beautiful scenery. The paths were a little bumpy and dry but the course is in nice shape for July. It wasn't very busy when I went, which was great for a relaxing pace. I'll be back!
