Cherry Hills Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling countryside in Sturgeon Bay. The layout tumbles across a variety of elevation changes that make for some challenging, hard-to-read greens. Some have even compared them to Pinehurst's famous greens. Be prepared to have your short-game skills thoroughly tested. The front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine where the fairways are narrower and many are lined with out-of-bounds stakes. Water hazards come into play one four holes and there are a few strategically placed sand traps. The golf course is challenging but fair and not too intimidating for beginners, especially since at just over 6,200 yards, it is a manageable length. In addition to the course, there is also a lighted driving range at Cherry Hills G.C.

Not worth the effort
Played the course on July 18th. First, and last time playing. Positives: the course has some hills, which makes shots challenging. On two holes, you hit down slope into a valley. Negatives: Directional signage is lacking. Figuring out where the next tee box is was sometimes a challenge. Greens are very hard, and some greens have diseased turf. Tee boxes are not well taken care of. Fairways are not in the best shape either.
There are better courses in Door County.
Nice Experience
I played early in June on a Tuesday morning. I had my almost 3 year old daughter and she loved it. Staff was friendly from the moment I got there.
The course had some challenging elevation that was different than anything I've played before.
Pace of play was perfect. A larger group let me play through which was greatly appreciated.
Definitely recommend the course for someone looking for a fun round.
Course doesn’t have a flatline anywhere makes it challenging, but makes you a better golfer. The only thing I would say if you go now bring bug spray the mosquitoes were bad

The course was wet from all the rain but it drained nicely. Tees are in good shape and the elevated greens and fairways are fun.
Needs work.
For starters, I will say that the greens were in very good shape. Cart paths need a lot of work. They had lots of rain recently and some of the low areas were unplayable and roped off. They should have had the back nine closed. It was a mess.
Really pleasant playing experience. Away from the hustle and Bustle. Course was in good condition, and playable for all levels.
WE'LL BE BACK
In rolling hills with a few severe elevation changes the course requires extra thought on club selection. The front has few flat lies and the back is narrow and tree lined. The greens are fast but consistent. This course will challenge your short game. Great value for the cost. Especially if you stay at the resort. We have already started plans to return with family and/or friends.
Great Experience
The weather was not the best to start, however, no delays or issues with getting started. Courses were great for the weather leading up to it. Played very well and was well taken care of
