Great Social Round
Had a walk around with the gents. Not one of us has a bad word to say about the experience.
Decent layout but very slow
Great layout but being 9 holes ... a busy course with no time management was getting choked up even more when those playing "back" nine merged into those playing just 9. Took a very long time to play.
Sandgate golf course
Played here a number of times over the last 10 years . Probably average 4 rounds per year. Could handle the roughness of the course when paying less than $20 for 9 holes. I get that it’s a limited layout with the 18 holes using same greens but different tees but the greens were as bad as I’ve ever seen them, the fairways had been cored and the prices have kept going up, including at the bar. Since Covid every course I know of on Brisbane’s northside has been flush with cash so assume Sandgate is the same, much more is needed to lift this course from being a hokey suburban affair if they’re wanting to charge the same as Virginia (near neighbour) prices. Really disappointed.
