Studley Greens

Good course for beginners wanting to practise a bit. The course has plastic mats at every tee box but they are not much chop; suggest that teeing up off the mat is a better option.

No bunkers. Quite a few trees and hillocks. Greens are quite well maintained.

The fairways are narrow with lots of trees separating each fairway. You tee off on a square of fake grass and the 3 park is great for beginners. Not long enough to practice using a driver but very easy going and family friendly. There are public toilets that are clean and the cafe where you pay to play makes fantastic coffees. Win win.

Great course to work on your short game. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Very family friendly, toddlers playing and couples with their dogs.

Good golf course for those who want to practice the short game

The course is very short and not challenging. You can see the flag from every tee, which is handy for novice golfers. In reality you only need three clubs, a 5 iron, a pitching wedge and a putter. When I scoped out the place the day before I saw many players armed with a couple of clubs, which I found curious but after playing the course that became obvious. Not a course for a serious golfer, but very cost-effective.

Very good for social golf, especially for kids to get started on
