Reviews
Hidden Gem Close to Brisbane
A beautiful course that feels hidden away within the hinterland. It was a challenging day for a high handicapper but a great day out on a course that feels completely different from a standard city course with a great mixture of sand, water and lengthy fairways. The Kooralbyn Valley Golf team have the course in great condition for the cost of a round with a cart. Highly recommend!
Kooralbyn Valley Golf Course
Great course. Terrific layout and a challenge for any golfer. A storm the night before made for wet boggy conditions.
Staff were amazing and the locals playing were friendly.
Golf cart didn’t steer straight and the tees were well worn. Not much money going into a worn out facility and as a result diminished the experience. 100AUD was not value for money.
Very Rude Staff
The staff were extremely rude and nasty! Especially Ranger Wendy, who has no idea how to speak to customers….
The course itself was in good condition considering the rainfall from the cyclone, except the paths in which you had to drive on were disgraceful and dangerous!!!
Would definitely not go back or recommend to anyone!!!
Overall rating 1 star
Great value
Every time we play here it is rare to get held up.
When you can play a round in under 4 hours on a Saturday it makes the extra travel worth the trip.
The greens were very good this time with the pro am due during the week.
We will be back in a couple of weeks and can’t wait
Value and quality
This place is where to play if you are sick of waiting on the Gold Coast to play your five hour round .. f}%k that
If you are thinking of playing this course, do it.
Well worth the trip. It's such a unique and beautiful course.
Well worth the journey
If you haven’t played Kooralbyn then you are in a go a treat. It is a great golfing experience. One of the best, if not the best, in Queensland.
Golf
Course was really good condition greens was great good speed
Hidden Gem
Course in pretty good condition, one of the most interesting courses in the Gold Coast area.
Some tees and fairways need water, but otherwise perfect golf day.
Copperhead
Today we played the Copperhead back tee challenge. This course will test anyone’s game. Even more from the back tees. We loved it.
This course will test your game
This course will test your game. You must drive the ball in play. Not always long, but you must give yourself a look at the green. I played Wednesday, nice and quiet. I loved it.
One of the best courses in SE QLD
I have played this course a number of times over the last few months, and other than the nearly 3 hour return trip from Gold Coast, its a great day.
The course is rarely busy and often find myself playing without ever seeing any other golfers. Course is well designed with some really interesting holes. The course is well maintained and at $70 for 18 holes with a cart is good value.
If you dont mind the drive it is well worth a visit
One of the best layouts
Super fun layout. Something different on each hole.
Great value. We got around in 3 hours on Saturday morning.
Great Couse Layout
It has been many years since I last played at Kooralbyn and todays experience lived up to my past great memories. Course layout is great, with some really memorable holes particularly on the front 9 (holes 5,6 &9). Always challenging off the tee. Pace of play was slow due to very large group of corporate golfers on course, overall course condition was good (some greens were a little patchy probably due to frost impact) fairways really good, staff friendly. Would recommend.
