Zero for restaurant treatment disgraceful never to return along with 30 other guests
Excellent layout with friendly greens
Have been wanting to play this course for a while now.
An early start on a fine day found the course in great nick.
Fairways were nicely kept and rough not too punishing.
Greens were all consistent and not too fast.
Will definitely be back to play again.
What a waste!
After a period of about 10 years since my last visit I was looking forward to a game here but was bitterly disappointed by the dilapidated condition of the fairways, bunkers and surrounds. Almost impossible to find a decent lie on patchy, inconsistently grassed fairways, which were sadly lacking any moisture for reasonable growth. The greens were large and well watered although greenside bunkers were inconsistent and in need of maintenance. Everything looked run down and unkempt from the gardens and paths to the clubhouse, which was once sparkling, clean and welcoming. Considering the value of other courses in the area, the management needs to look at freshening up the place and returning it to the great course it once was. A final point on the pro shop - it appeared well stocked and the service was friendly and professional.
Good fun
Played in a twilight comp and had a really enjoyable round. This course is well looked after for a country course and the club pro is very welcoming. Fairway are mostly open with a few little features which might bite you the first time you play unless accompanied by a local (thanks mum). Greens were receptive to a good approach and had some good undulations to make you think. Spike bar has been renovated and it's very pleasant atmosphere with a good view of the course.
