Colts Neck Golf Club

Course was in great condition, greens were quick but really good shape. Played true to 4 hr round. Would recommend.

I usually know a course is good, when I am thinking about how I would play some of my shots differently the day after.

Visiting from San Diego where the courses can typically be extremely challenging with narrow fairways, unplayable hazards or play longer from uphill/downhill layouts, this course was a surprising challenge.

The course designer here really had the modern game in mind. Fairways are mostly all safe, but the high risk/reward shots may add a stroke or two if missed (I spent more time at the beach than in San Diego.)

This is a great course for shot shapers and wound up really having to work both draws and fades equally throughout the round.

Well placed and spaced fairway bunkers and doglegs kept me guessing between a 3 wood and driver off the tee to reach greens in two on the par 4s and 5s. Greens bunkers positioned well and some deep on downslopes.

Greens were fairly large but can make for some long challenging putts if you hit them. The greens here were incredibly difficult for me to read on my first go around and some of it was tricky pin placement.

The only caveats about the course were some of the unrepaired divots on the greens (c'mon guys, repair one and one other!)

Sand was inconsistent. Some packed and heavy (likely from sprinklers or rain, others ok.)

As others noted, this is a private club so concessions are members only.

What can I say the course was great, my first time here and will come back, great deal on golf now , under paid fir the great course I played , staff was awesome

Course was in good conditions especially the fairways. Greens were fast but pace of play was somewhat slow. Enjoyed my experience here but a little pricey on weekends

This is a beautiful course. Tees, fairways and greens are really nice. Greens are fast and rolled (love them) but receptive to pitch shots. It does have fescue with ticks in it, so avoiding that is a top priority.

Colts neck is a really nice golf course. It’s got fast greens good layout and pace of play is really good most of the time. Well taken care of and great experience overall.

One thing they can do to improve is fix the tee boxes a little. Some are uneven which makes it harder to get consistency on your drives.

Can really have a blast here if u smoke weed and drink and mayb some blow depends if I take an acid tab or to or just take to much Xanax and see what happens always good time here ... watch out for deer they will eat your ball

Everything about this course is great! Staff is very friendly and helpful, course has a crazy layout , where you make your turn, is nowhere near the clubhouse. Conditions are outstanding, best in the area, well maintained. I was able to get a great rate from Golf Now but the only draw back this course is it is a little pricey if you you pay the full rate. Even if that is the case, it's worth it!

What great place to play a round of 18. Great pace, challenging holes, clean and peaceful course.

Course was challenging and in great shape. Played as a single and was matched up with another single and a 2 baller to make a foursome. We were all pretty evenly skilled so it made for a nice round. Would reccomend to a friend and plan on returning. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Ran over for a late Sunday afternoon loop. It was a touch slow, but expected. Only complaint is you can’t but a drink unless you are a member.

Course was in great shape and fun.

The course moved well and the conditions were better than expected for early in the season. Make sure you bring something to snack on and drink as there is no cart girl or open refreshment stand.
