About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

A great deal for the GolfNow Hot Deal price.
Well kept course with some interesting holes. Not a great test but fun to play. Certainly not worth $80 or $100 to play here, but on sale, it's worth coming out to play.
They need to post on their website, that you have to be a member to be served a drink!
Although this is a very well maintained course, minus the second cut being like a third cut...very hard to hit out of, it is a beautiful course. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it, is because they will not serve their guest any kind of alcoholic beverage unless your a member. I think they should put this on their website!
Fun Course
Very well maintained moderately challenging course with very friendly staff. GolfNow hot deal and good reviews drew me to the course. Not a $80+ course IMO but at $57 well worth it.
Great course
Love the course, it is very well maintained. The sand traps actually have sand in them instead of dirt. Rest rooms and porta pottys along the course are very clean. Putting green is apart from driving range and no short game facility, but the course itself is great.
Great Course, Beautiful Fast greens
Even though the weather was terrible the course was absolutely beautiful. Sand traps were all pristine, greens were beautifully maintained and very fast. Nice layout. We all had a great time.
Short, but fun track. Very good greens
This is one of the better courses you can play in monmouth county. I'm a 2 handicap so I enjoy the course but the one complaint I have is length. I'm a fairly long hitter and some of the holes can seem a bit gimmicky to a good player. That being said there are some drivable par 4's and reachable par 5's that make the course a fun experience to play. I don't think it's worth the full price ($90) but at a discount more than worth checking it out.
Played 4-24-13.
Course was in good shape. We got off on time if not earlier. The pace of play was great. Saw rangers during the day checking. Overall a good experience and would play there again.
Course was in very good shape for a cold early spring season
Got to the course and checked in right away, no issue whatsoever. The course was in very good shape for this early into the season. I expect the course will look great once the weather finally turns here. Changed the layout a little with the first two holes beginning across the street where the 17th and 18th used to be. Overall a good experience and would definitely recommend using Golfnow to secure a tee time and get out and play!
If you can catch the hot deal then the price is excellent.
This is one of the very nice public course in Monmouth county. The green fee some time cheaper than the county's courses. It also comes with GPS in the cart.

Course has "no jeans" policy which I wish you had advised me of, as this was my first visit. I needed to delay my start while I went to buy slacks.
Yardage off. Temporary tee boxes and greens on all holes. Did not know before paying or playing. If known would have chosen a different course

This is a great course
Well, I have played this course in the middle of Summer and it was awesome. It can be challenging and I did enjoy it. However, I would never play it in the conditions that I found it in on Jan 12, 2013 because it was temporary greens and tees. Although it was cheap to play it was not enjoyable at all. They do this like that so they can offer us a better course come Spring and Summer. I would recommend anyone to play this course but not in Winter time.
This course is one of the area's best.
This course is one of the best open courses in Monmouth Cty. It is always well maintained, and the greens are in excellent condition. This course provides a great experience for all golf types, and is a wonderful couple of hours away from the shore.
Nice layout. A little short but plenty of challenges built in to the course design
Played on a Monday morning and the pace of play was fine. Course was in great shape - including tee boxes and greens. Staff was friendly and helpful. A bit short from the middle tees, but dog legs, water, sand traps, and forced carries presented a pretty challenging round. Highly recommend.

Greens were quicker than others for time of the year. Some holes were just gorgeous. Can't wait to try it again next season.
