Seen Better Days
Lack of $ and rain have left this course in very poor condition. Tee boxes full of broken tees and varying amount of turf and bare spots; fairways burnt out and/or bare, greens in extremely varying conditions, mostly poor to fair. Maintenance of this golf course is terrible.
While staff are nice, their positive presentation does not make up for the poor conditions found on this golf course. Lack of investments ($) by owner/operator are being compounded by lack of rain.
Could be a great course
Could be such a great course if they just put the slightest effort into the tee boxes and greens.
Wouldn't hurt if they kept the pace of play moving
Another good day at the course . Woody and Brian get you out quick . Conditions are good for such dry weather and management is conscientious of keeping the course in good shape . Tee boxes could you some attention.. aside from that a good day

Still green
For the conditions this summer has given us in NJ this year, Gamblers is in really good shape. Still green fairways and the greens are rolling pretty well. For the price of a round you really can't beat it.

Players need to fix ball marks on the greens.
Course can be much better if players chip in.
The tee boxes are unfortunately small and get chewed up and uneven.

Needs help
The course was ok but the pace of play was horrible the two groups that were in front of us did not know what they were doing which is not to bad but they waited until people got off the green before they started hitting we explained that they don’t have to wait for that they can hit as long as you know you hit the people in front of them they keep on waiting the ranger came around and seen the back up didn’t say anything I understand that everyone paid but if you are playing bad let people go in front of you or the ranger has to speed things up

All the courses over the last year to raise their prices I got to give it to Gamblers Ridge they kept the same prices during these price gouging situation over the last couple of years Gamblers Ridge kept it down to four people like me to play it. Thank you Gamblers Ridge for making it affordable for people like me with a low income to still be able to play golf

Great front nine
Great front nine Shot 36 on the front I was riding with my partner and two gentlemen joined us that were walking when we came around to the 10th The starter was yelling at us to keep up with the group ahead of us there wasn’t a group ahead of us so I think it might’ve been a twosome we did have 6:20 in the morning tee time and no one behind us ridiculous kind of get your head out of it when someone yelling at you for no reason unprofessional 42 on the back you cannot rush to guys walking we did not know

I won’t be back
I read other reviews—friendly staff-yes. Slow pace of play—not bad actually. But the course— most of the fairways were super soggy. The ones that weren’t had large patches of just dirt with an occasion patch of crab grass. I understand dry grass but I don’t like dirt! The greens were fair. I won’t be back most likely.
