Interesting
The course was great. Greens were beautiful and the fairways were in great shape. It was a challenging course but very enjoyable. The outside of the course was interesting. Almost like a ghost town. No amenities to speak of. If you go just for the golf you’ll be fine.

I know the course is closing, but the price could be lower, no money is being invested at this time. Course is in mediocre condition.. greens and fairways are in good condition though. They have a geese problem also.Lower the prices until closing.
Tam O Shanter
This was my second round at Tam. The course was in excellent condition, not crowded and we took a leisurely 4 hours with my playing partner. This is a hidden gem on Long Island as a formerly private course is no open to public play
Almost perfect
Group in front of us turned it into a 5+ hour round. Never gave us the opportunity to play through.
Private course???
This is not in the condition of a private country club course.
The conditions were fair and it is more like a public muni.

I loved the course lay out. I loved the greens, they were rolling nicely, I could read them. Passed the course a million times living on the North Shore my entire life, was glad I got to see it and play it.
A nice round in 2021
A shame the plan is to divide this place up into home lots next year. It’s a beautiful, mature track in Nassau County. They are keeping it in good shape. No amenities besides a beverage cart and modest halfway house. The clubhouse is closed. There is no pro shop. There is a driving range. The tennis courts and pool have been abandoned and are overgrown with vegetation. Recommended if you live in the area but it seems like this year is it.

We were thrilled to play such a nice course for a reasonable price I thought.
Lovely Course
This is a lovely golf course which has gone from Members only private club to a public club. There are no facilities other than bathrooms. The magnificent clubhouse and restaurants are all boarded shut.
The course is challenging but fair and is extremely well maintained for a public course.
The price is quite high for public course but considering the quality offered seems more or less reasonable.
Paid higher amount than booked price
The course is a beautiful and challenging one. I can keep playing until this course is permanently closed.
My only concern was that GolfNow said $99.00/person with cart but I was charged $110/person without any explanation.
Hope the difference can be explained or the listed price changes to show correct (higher price)
