Buffalo Tournament Club

We booked tee time for 4 at 6:45am but two out of the group tested positive for COVID so they couldn’t make it. The manager behind the counter said we still have to pay fir the 2 who couldn’t make it. I refused and said that I will only pay for 2 that will be playing that day. He told me that the two who didn’t show up still have to pay and I should get the money from them. 1 week later there was a charge of $84 (2 golfers) for that day that wasn’t there in my credit card.. It’s illegal and credit card company ended up reimbursed me for it.

It’s such a scumbag move. My group and I used to play there 2-3 times a week. Haven’t been back since and will never step food in that place again

The general layout, and natural landscape could make this a top 10 public course. The condition and general upkeep make it a bottom 10. Cart paths horrendous, greens okay, fairway to rough - hard to tell the difference. Traps - horrible, Hole Signage is non existent .

BUT what it could be! Challenging par 3’s - nice mix in the layout and use of trees, and the land.

Large holes in the middle of fairways. Bunkers not taken care of. No tee markers on several tee boxes. Hole cut on 1 green right next to damaged area on green that was not new damage. No food and limited beverages. Ridiculous rules and poor response to customer concerns. It's a shame because this course can provide a high level experience.

the worse course in WNY. Pro Shop staff are the most arrogant and ignorant of any course I've ever played. would not recommend this course to anyone

The course has a great layout , beautiful greens, most holes aren’t very difficult,. A few holes on the back 9 are gorgeous! The cart paths and some tee boxes need work , but that doesn’t affect play. They need to open a clubhouse , but it’s a great course for the price.

Greens are very good but the fairways are absolutely horrible;

I really like this course in the summer. I generally like to play nine holes because of my age and endurance. It's great to play in between the leagues in the mid afternoon. My gripe is that as soon as the leagues are done for the season they eliminate the 9 holes price and only offer 18 holes. I go elsewhere then.

Course conditions are very bad. They just don't take good care of this course. Traps, rough, greens, tee boxes all need a lot of attention. I played 55 rounds at area public courses this year and this is the worst. Played it twicethis year. No interest in going back.t

New Clubhouse has never been opened. Halfway house hasn't been open in at least 2 years. No starters. No Marshall's Cart paths are like a war zone. They say they can't find help. That's a lie. All surrounding courses have no problem. The owner is operating on the cheap. Not even a cold drink vending machine. This place is a joke. It's easy to understand why this place has such a horrible reputation.

Management needs to improve on how they treat golfers. The success of any business depends on repeat business which the management does not seem to comprehend, shown by the way they treat golfers. I golf at a lot of courses around Buffalo and have never been treated as poorly as I have at Buffalo Tournament Club.

Management is rude, condescending and lack the skills to manage a successful business.

First let me state that I made an error in not seeing the start time for coupons was 11 am and later. So I make a tee time for 10:11 am.

My good friend and I drive up from Rochester and got there at 9:40 am...plenty of time for our start time. A light mist was falling and windy but we still wanted to play.

Young man in pro shop was pleasant and did his best to state that my coupon would not be valid until 11 am. He said the owner was very particular about these situations and would not let us out before 11 using the coupon. My mistake yes.

But on September 24th...10 cars in the parking lot...not allowing us to play earlier than 11 am seemed to me ridiculous give the time of year, the number of golfers out on the course and weather conditions. Can't use the coupon now as expires and will be out of town. My bad, but "Come on Man"!!!!

Worst course in WNY. Go to Delaware Park, Same thing

Course was in great shape this year. Still needs an investment to repair some pretty rough cart paths and numerous bare patches in the rough areas on many holes. The tee boxes also need attention on many holes. The greens were generally in good shape and putting is usually very consistent. They need to continue to make upgrades to the course to get their rating into a “4” range

Buffalo tournament club is a waste. Beautiful layout but terrible on everything else. $100 to play 18, not anything worth that - I’d rather go anywhere else. Fairways rough look just about the same (minimal grass) and greens are brutal too. The green on the second hole has has a tree root growing through it and popping out. No course maintenance at all and I can’t imagine how this is worth $100. Terrible, I’d never play there and will tell everyone I know to not play there either.

The course closed due to weather conditions, they could have had the common courtesy to call prior to me driving all the way to the course.

The greens were in great condition, fast and challenging, fairways good , tee boxes could use some work, and they need to open a clubhouse. A good value .

This course is absolute garbage. They overbook and the pace of play is terrible. It takes almost 6 hours on the weekend. The condition is no better, cart paths are ruined and bumpy every step of the way, its easier to drive on the grass but you still have to watch out for random holes. Tee boxes are never repaired and the greens are dry. It looks like they don’t even maintain the course. The staff can be incredibly rude as well. Not worth $20 per round. It looks exactly the same as it has years ago and the owner won’t open the snack shop to sell burgers or drinks - too lazy to hire someone.

There was zero food there other than chips. We were starving and wanted to eat before we teed off or certainly at the turn. Nothing. No convenience stores or restaurants nearby neither. Fix this and rating goes to a 5.

Course layout is good. Conditions have improved some over last year. There are NO amenities. You don't have an open clubhouse for refreshments and food. Half the holes don't have markers on the tee boxes and there are no ball washers. The price is too high unless you have a discount voucher.
