Stoney Creek Golf Course

Great for working on irons.

Can make it to all the greens off the tee if you like though.

Great spot to sharpen your short game..greens faster than they appear….a little inconsistency on speeds from green to green, but the layout was challenging and it made you think….too far for me to play regularly but I’d still recommend it.

Stoney is by no means Augusta, but it’s usually not too crowded, it feels like you’re far from the city, and some of the holes are decently challenging. If I can get a Golfnow deal, I’d much rather loop Stoney than go to the range. It’s a great place to practice your short and mid range game. The conditions are variable and the greens sometimes are a little rough, and it’s also often windy as heck out there, but I think it’s a fine little exec par 3.

With all the snow in Colorado this winter, Stoney Creek was open for business, one of very few. The course was very playable, with dormant grass in all areas. Great weather day with temperatures in the sixties. Staff is always friendly! Good course for a quick round of 18.

Stoney Creek was a fun short course but the winter conditions have not been kind to the greens. A few greens, especially #7, were a little beat up but still playable. I think the price for 9 could also be a little lower. Still had a good time and will be back!

Booked a tee time, the place was closed, even though it allowed me to book it and it said they were open on their website.

This course has such great potential, especially for a 9-hole course. The holes are all fairly short, but they provide a decent challenge. Greens are just undulating enough to make you think about your short game.

With that said: There is a clear lack of maintenance on the course. The greens have dirt patches. The amount of fallen leaves on the fairways make it nearly impossible to find your ball. I understand that leaves are going to be a difficult thing to deal with at this time of year, but you NEED to clear your fairways at least once a day if you're going to remain open all year; it's clear that they haven't. I lost 7 balls on two rounds of 9, and 5 of them were lost because I couldn't find them amongst the leaves in the fairway.

This course is simple sweet and fun friendly staff clean course fair prices in and out it's one of my go-to's spots enjoy it's peaceful

Booked this course for 18 holes with a cart. No where on the app did it say this course not only just has 9 holes, but it's an executive 9... the course was just over 1500 yards.

Course is a great executive 9 that is a great layout for working on your irons and approach shots. Although tempting to drive the first green, don't do it. Better to lay up to a good yardage for your approach shot. Greens were rough and damaged from earlier issues in the year. Overall, a good course to tune your iron game.

Well maintained; enough sand traps, water features, and rolling approaches to make it interesting.
