Casual and interesting
I love this course! It is off the beaten path and not persnickety at all. The fairways are a bit rough, but the price is right. Good greens. The course layout is what it makes it interesting with water on several holes. It is an executive style course which means ~6 par 3s and ~3 per 4s, so you can let loose with driver a little, but it is not a physically demanding course. If they took better care of their fairways, they could attract more people and jack up the prices… I am kind of hoping that never happens ;)
Good for a practice round
This is an ideal course for iron play and short game. Although the greens are hard to read and seem inconsistent with speed, but that’s golf for you.
Enjoyable friendly and family run course
I golf at stoney at least a handful of times every year and it never really disappoints. It's a simple and laid back course that has a nice little grass range and practice area too.
Fun Place to Sharpen Your Skills
The Stoney Creek is an executive 9-hole course with many challenging hazards. You could loose the golf balls for 7 of 9 holes. It's an ideal place to sharpen your skills.
Short game course
Great for working on irons.
Can make it to all the greens off the tee if you like though.
Good short game practice
Great spot to sharpen your short game..greens faster than they appear….a little inconsistency on speeds from green to green, but the layout was challenging and it made you think….too far for me to play regularly but I’d still recommend it.

Great for what it is
Stoney is by no means Augusta, but it’s usually not too crowded, it feels like you’re far from the city, and some of the holes are decently challenging. If I can get a Golfnow deal, I’d much rather loop Stoney than go to the range. It’s a great place to practice your short and mid range game. The conditions are variable and the greens sometimes are a little rough, and it’s also often windy as heck out there, but I think it’s a fine little exec par 3.

Open for Business
With all the snow in Colorado this winter, Stoney Creek was open for business, one of very few. The course was very playable, with dormant grass in all areas. Great weather day with temperatures in the sixties. Staff is always friendly! Good course for a quick round of 18.

Fun little course!
Stoney Creek was a fun short course but the winter conditions have not been kind to the greens. A few greens, especially #7, were a little beat up but still playable. I think the price for 9 could also be a little lower. Still had a good time and will be back!
Needs to be changed.
Booked a tee time, the place was closed, even though it allowed me to book it and it said they were open on their website.
