Todd Creek Golf Club

This is the second time I’ve played this course in the past 3 weeks. It’s a fun, and challenging, course but the pace of play is terrible. Both rounds took over 5 hours. It’s extremely difficult to get into a rhythm when you’re waiting to take every shot. Didn’t see a marshal either time to speed up slower players. It’s a real shame, because again, it’s a fun course.

My overall rating is because the greens suck. Too bad because the course layout is great but if the greens are not putt-able then why bother.

Pros:

1. Nice practice area.

2. The club house on the outside looks great but did not go inside.

3. The course layout is great but not walkable because of distance from previous green to next tee.

4. Several tee boxes from which the player can choose according to their skill level.

5. Overall well maintained.

Major Con;:

The greens suck. This is from a player who made 2 birdies from 4 feet and 8 feet. The greens would be challenging for a scratch golfer but for the recreational golf they are not fair or fun. Most of the greens are elevated so if you just miss the green you will need to chip up onto the green. I liked that. But the green are very slopped and very fast. A couple of greens are domed. So you try to putt softly because of speed of the greens and the ball will break 4 to 6 feet. Several times you put past the hole and your ball rolls off the green. I like fast greens but not if the greens are domed shaped. Several times you would putt once then have to chip back on the green. I play all the golf courses in the Denver area and these greens are not fun or fair. They need major rework, if they want to attract the recreational golfer. I am not a great golfer but my handicap is a 15 and have been golfing for 30+ years. So I am not a new player. to the game.

I will not play this course in the near future because the greens suck. If the greens at Todd Creek were as good as Heritage Eagle Bend, I would play a couple times a month. I hope this helps other golfers what to expect.

Nice course, fairly difficult, especially the greens. a little pricey. Very nice practice facility. Nice clubhouse.

But...pace of play is poor. 9 minute spread between tee times. Over 5 hours to play this track. Multiple groups on some tee boxes. Kinda ruined the round.

Nice course. Happened to play on a day when the pins were in astonishingly difficult placements. The lack of detailed hole and green maps was frustrating. It also felt a little cheap to not include range balls for a full price round. I would golf there again, but certainly not at the full price.

Good course, but for the price, I’d expect some sand in the bunkers. No rakes, clearly having bunker issues.

Todd Creek is a great golf course. We played early in the morning to beat the August heat and were matched up with two excellent golfers. This is a tough track, but as an older couple we played the forward white and silver tees -- so it was a fair test. The green are big and rolling, and some of the pin placements were a bear. Still we felt pretty good about ourselves at the end of the day. I broke 90 and my wife came in under 100. Not bad on a tough course we had never played before. We paid about $80 each, which is a bit pricey -- but worth money for such a fine golfing experience.

This course is very well watered, so it makes for zero roll. For thiis reason, and for well positioned sand traps, it is longer than you would think looking at the yardage. Most tee box shots were very challenging as there was either scrub brush, reeds, sand and/or water that the hitter has to go over to reach the fairway or green. If you get there early, the course has two excellent chipping greens, and nice putting green, and a driving range that even has targets.

Really enjoy the different holes and challenging ones!

My foursome of 20 years plays Todd Creek at least once a year. This is the second time we've played in 2020 due to availability of tee time.

The course plays fair but is challenging when you make mistakes. Greens and fairways are in great shape.

Our issue is the lack of course management by the marshals. From the first hole on we were waiting at every tee box for the foursome in front of us. We were told they were held up but by the 7th hole it was obvious they had no one in front of them. On the 13th hole we and two other foursomes were waiting for the slow foursome to clear the green. We waited well over ten minutes.

We usually play this and most courses in under 4 1/2 hours. It took us 5 1/2 to play Sunday. Please review the situation and help your marshals by spacing tee times by at least 5 minutes more. Also, unlike many courses we saw no signs alerting players about pace of play. It does help to have feedback.

Very nice course just north east of Denver. Course was in very good condition and staff was friendly. Carts are very nice with small GPS, quality seats and good appearance. Staff was friendly and COVID compliant, if you care.

I love playing at Todd Creek-the staff is friendly-the course isnt bad and the pace of play is usually really good.

The bunkers havent been raked in months though-they are hard as concrete. You cant hit a real sand shot out of one. Its pretty annoying.

Weekday afternoons you can usually get a round completed in less than 4 hours.

Monday they didnt have a cart girl-not sure if that is every Monday or not.

Best golf carts I the state. A little overpriced. Hard to get tee times.

Enjoyed playing Todd Creek. Greens were nice and pace of play was good. Could have had more options for food and drink as rarely saw the cart girl. But highly recommend overall!

Greens are pretty quick and pin placements difficult. Layout is nice with some pretty tight shots. Definitely rewards fairways and penalized for traps or rough.
