It’s a little narrow but a nice layout
The course was very soft and the greens were slow due to the rain from the day before. Otherwise it was in decent shape.

Good course
Pace of play was ok. A group in front was a 3 some and they really slowed pace down. Ranger tried to speed them up to no avail. Otherwise a nice track

Always a pleasurable round
I play here often. 20+ times a season. Considering the number of players that flow through here, the course is in great shape. Highest wear and tear are on the tees. Relatively a straight and narrow course where trees line every fairway. Not a forgiving course as the trees force lateral punchout shots and the edge rough is usually a bit long. There are 5 Par 3's where the shortest is 150 and the couple Par 4's well over 400. Friendliest staff on LongIsland, play hardly EVER longer than 4 hrs, great bar and restaurant too.
If you like open " a bit more forgiving" courses, try the course just across the street, Cherry Creek Links (sister course) equally as nice, long and more open.

Challenging course meant for better players
Narrow fairways, water carries, plenty of bunkers, and some undulating landscapes make this a challenging course not meant for hackers and beginners. Greens and fairways were in perfect condition, but some tee boxes needed work. Pace of play was good on the front 9 but came to a standstill on the back 9 due to hackers and struggling golfers. Perfect weather day, so the place was busy. Walkable, though most people seemed to take carts. Nice restaurant and clubhouse at this course- great place for a drink and some food after the round!

great course
i made a tee time with two other players and they sent me out as a single, again ! the starter sheet did not have me or the other people listed. i should have just gone to the driving range, because thats what this turned into following a foursome. some holes are too wet do to overwatering
