About
There are 27 holes of championship golf available at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club. They are divided into three nines, naturally named Blue, Ridge and Trail, that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The holes have an advantageous setting amidst mountains and trees, offering both privacy and scenery. The setting is made even more peacefully secluded by the fact that there are no parallel fairways throughout the entire golf course. The holes were carefully carved from the forests and hillsides, providing each nine with a different character. With four water holes, the Ridge/Trail combination has the most water of any of the courses. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout but the towering, mature trees present the most formidable challenges. The course starts off rather gently with the player-friendly Ridge, but becomes progressively more difficult on the back nine.

Yes, we have gotten a lot of rain and I called for course conditions prior to booking. Was told the courses in great shape and when I arrived was told that it was caught path only. So beware if you are not looking to play during cartpath only conditions. Otherwise, the course is absolutely beautiful.
Very nice and scenic course except …
The tee boxes and greens in great shape. The course is very scenic and saw two deer during my round. Nice layout and many sets of tees to play from to match a playersdistance off tee and skill level. The negative were course conditions playing on a Monday. The course was very wet and muddy in many spots. The rough and area around the greens on 4-5 holes was a big factor and I found room 8 balls without really looking for them. I would recommend this course highly in dry conditions. Very scenic and nice layout. I would not play it early morning after rainy days, it doesn’t seem to drain well and takes away from the golf experience there

Staff
The bartender we dealt with was very nice the pro shop staff was good but the starter was horrible He was rushing people to start putting people in the wrong groups. It was not busy at the time I was there. It was very, very rude.
Country Club Level Course
Just phenomenal it’s always a great place to play 27!
3” of Rain but still playable
The course received 3” of rain but the fairways and first cut of rough were still very playable. I took relief from casual water only twice the whole round. Of course, it played longer because there was no roll on the fairways. The greens had just been cored and sanded, so, they were slow.
Must play this course
Great overall even if start of season and all the rain. It was obviously cart path only, but not a problem. A no brainer at that price ! Great layout fun to play and if you want, a tough challenge…
