The person who greet you was super . Than you get on the course . No comment. It is old world Florida. I bet it is a fun local place . Not good to try out the first time . Maybe with a 6 pack . Or as a goof . Sorry . If it had grass on the fairways I would have had a better feel for the layout . Target golf or water on most holes . It didn't = the $ ..
cow pasture
this place is a dump, they have not put a nickel into the course in what has to be decades. How can ball washers be totally rusted out? Trying to find something green to roll your ball onto is a challenge.
Nice soft greens
Overall poor conditions, course is tired and not maintained.. no maintenance other than the greens which are in good shape and roll well
Needs help for a higher rating
We played this course a second time, knowing the fairways and cart paths had a lot to be desired. This time, they were 15-20 minutes behind on starting tee times. Starter didn’t even tell us when we were next. We had to seek him out to know. Not a pleasant start. Then our cart died after 9 holes.
Good times at Island Pines
I get to my 118p tee time and am told there was a computer glitch - the group in front of me was supposed to be 2 people - but it was 32 people. Out of the chaos - I get paired with a nice couple and within 30 minutes we teed off the back 9. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers were ok. The greens were in very good shape. Plenty of sneaky water hazards. Carts were older and lacked GPS. Clubhouse was outdated - but staff made up for it. If you are looking for a country club - look elsewhere. Want to have a nice day on a decent course with pretty surroundings - Island Pines works fine.
Nice course for the money
Nice course for the money! Greens were excellent! Fairways were OK. The cart paths could use some help…overall not bad! 😊
Great condition
The course is as good as I’ve ever seen it. The greens are so much better and the tees are filling in nicely
Need more grass on the fairways, good work being done on the greens, tees still need more work,
Great Staff
All of the folks from the pro shop to the starter couldn't be nicer. Weather conditions were cold and misting rain. The course was definitely in playable condition.
Nice improvements
T boxes and greens are much improved Fun course to play reasonably priced
Best bang for your buck
We played on a super windy day but how can you beat this price for Florida golf in the high season? Everything was super cheap and accommodating. A true blue collar locals spot. Great for a beginner in my opinion but still challenging enough with the amount of water on the course that looms.
