There are three championship nines at Pleasant View Golf Club in Middleton. The nines are each named after a different aspect of the varied landscape: Lake, Wood, and Prairie. The Lake nine naturally has the most water, but there is a large lake that makes an appearance on the Prairie's third hole. It's the only time water comes into play on the golf course, but you'll encounter other challenges including dense stands of mature trees that line the fairways and a few strategically placed bunkers. The eighth is one of the most challenging holes, featuring one of the hardest greens on the course to hold. If your drive is too short you won't make it up the slope, but you're also in for trouble if you're too long.

Worth Every Penny!
Always get complete satisfaction playing this course. It offers lots of different challenges with its variety in hole distances along with the many different undulations you encounter during the round. Throw in the numerous water hazards, sand traps, and mature trees lining the course, and you’ll get all the challenge you’re looking for in a nine-hole round of golf. Then, to add to the experience, the ‘back 9‘ will take you to one of the other themed 9’s, which offer completely different challenges, and you end up with a totally enjoyable round of golf. Add to that the incredible scenic views overlooking beautiful Madison, WI, and the tremendously reasonable prices, and you end up with an amazingly fulfilling day of golf.
Fun course for any level of play
Pleasant View was a very enjoyable course with some great views of the surrounding lakes and city. It would be hard to walk, as it is very hilly. It's a little slower pace than an average course.
Great 27 hole course
The course was in great condition and fun to play.
Nice variety
With 3 nines, you get a nice variety of holes when you play here. We played woods, lake. Prairie had a girls tourney going. I like the legations changes, it makes you think more about your shots. The greens were a little slow, but overall very good conditions.

Pleasant View GC
The holes were placed in near impossible locations for a non championship course. After the first nine holes I was considering quitting, but stupidly decided to play on.
Easy
Smooth sailing for a Sunday afternoon! Weather was great, and yet, there was no wait and even got on well ahead of my scheduled tee time!
great course with great view of Madison
I can't wait to play this course again. The course was in perfect condition. A great value for the money. They had double booked my tee time but gave me range tokens and a free cart which more than made up for teeing off ten minutes later.
A great play if the deal is right!
I love playing Pleasant View. I don't like the rack rates, but when a deal can be had, this is the best place to play (based on location and quality).
We bought three deals and got paired up with a single. Thankfully, the single was a good guy and fun to have with us.
Pace of Play
Course played a little slower than we expected. However, there were a number of walkers ahead of us and we were riding
Great Course, but crazy busy
I've tried to play this course twice in the past as a single, and been told that there were no openings. With 27 holes, I found it hard to believe. When I finally got out yeaterday, the course itself (Lake) was very nice.
Really nicely maintained city course
Love the varied terrain at Pleasant View. They have wide open spaces, narrow woods, lakes, they have it all to make it interesting.
The fairways are groomed better than you would expect during this Fall season, where it's easy to lose a ball.
Beautiful course
Woods and Prairie courses are the 2 best courses to play. Course was in really good condition.
A well maintained municipal course with lots of elevation changes and some outstanding views.
My wife and I try to play this course at least once a year, even though it is 90 miles from home. The greens and fairways are always in great shape. We enjoy the elevation changes which can be a challenge for proper club selection. The course offers some spectacular views of the greater Madison area.
Nice course with good amenities.
Check in was easy and had a quick breakfast that was tasty. Practice putting area and range where in good shape. Only wish the greens were a little faster. There are three 9 hole courses and we played Lake and Woods. The course is fairly simple with only a few hazards & obstacles too avoid.

Looked at your site the morning of, booked a great deal and was playing in two hours. I was very satisfied with the total experience!
Nice place to play
Took an opportunity to play here after moving my mom to Madison area. Staff was friendly and engaging. The course itself was in good shape with all greens and fairways rolling true. I enjoyed this course because no matter how high or low your handicap is its a course that keeps your attention. Got a great deal on golf now for fantastic green fees.

Wish I could get here more often. Course is challenge for intermediate golfers, always in great shape with friendly staff. Always a pleasure.

Nice course with nice varietyand friendly staff
The course is in very good condition. There is a nice variety of holes with 3 nines. The only negative is the speed of the greens which are pretty slow. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
