Yarrow is an awesome course.
Right now I am pretty much on my game and still found Yarrow to be very challenging from the senior tees, when for most courses I play from the white tees.
We were paired up with a very nice couple who helped make our day that much more enjoyable.
I have recommended Yarrow in the past and will definitely continue to do so in the future.
British Open golf w/o the wind
This is a beautiful course and easily my favorite in the greater Kalamazoo area. It takes a while to drive out to this course since it's out in the middle of nowhere, but once you jump on the first tee you fall in love with this place. The tall fescue rough that lines the courses is beautiful. As my playing partner said, "There's not a flat spot piece of land to hit from." If you stay in the fairway you're in a great position to score well. The course isn't particularly long so you can easily play wedges into the greens from the white tees (knotty pine). The greens allow for manageable long putts to be made. Corners can be cut off on some of the doglegs making tee shots fun to play aggressively, but punishing is you miss. If you have a slow group in front of you, don't stress. Just take a breather and look around at all the beautiful views.
Pretty
Divots and grass clippings need attention. Need better distance markers. Very pretty course
great course lousystarter/marshal
the day was good -like the course- the day was ruined by a rude crabby totally unnecessary comments made by the starter/marshal--we heard him report us to the clubhouse that we were playing way too slow & taking way too much time on course even though no one behind us had to wait or was there any backup-he even said he got a call from some unknown players that we were holding thing up which was totally untrue as we were at least 2-3 holes ahead of the group directly behind us.....He just ruined the day for all 4 of us......
Hidden Gem
We did not expect to stumble on this hidden little gem near Kalamazoo, but it was well worth the trip. It compares very favorably with the Treetops courses in Gaylord.
Beautiful track!!
Two first timers played. Outstanding course. Beautiful.
very good variety of holes
The course is out in the sticks, but well worth the drive. The kind of course you could play every day.77/
This course has very good layout.
I have played this course several times and I love it. Its challenging but you can shoot a good score. The greens are always in great shape and the fairways are plush. Its a must play if you haven't. It has good ip north feel to it.
Great course. Challenge for the best of players
Beautiful course, very challenging . Love the rolling hills.
Would play again and again. Might try in the fall with all the colors
Fantasic Course my favorite in the Area
Great Course Buetiful Views and a good challenge. I was like playing here.
Always a pleasure
Very hilly terrain and large greens that you need to focus not to three putt. Always in nice shape and enjoyable. The staff is typically very cordial and helpful. The setting is great, no houses around this course!
back is much easier than front
the front three holes are the most challenging then it gets easier.
Great course
Great golf course. Very scenic, but also a fair and fun golf challenge. The par 3s are pretty straightforward, but the par 4s and par 5s are a definite challenge. I would highly recommend you play this course if you are in the area - and I realize there are many other good options.
Pace of play
My only problem with this coursed is no rangers on the course. They had two of them to get you to the first tee but no one on the course. We were just two of us and got behind three people for 15 holes. The course was in great shape
$19 for 18 and a cart here is a steal of the century
Easily inside my TOP 5 golf courses in Michigan played so far. Definitely worth the time and drive if you can.
A hidden gem everyone should play. Very challenging, yet fair.
Yarrow GC has perhaps the best opening hole next to Spyglass Hill in CA. This course has it all. Rolling fairways, cavernous green side bunkers and elevated tees.
Resort style course.
Resort style course in great condition. Woods, water, hills, and big greens. Rough was thick. Fun and challenging.
Big but challenging greens
Nice course in the middle of nowhere so not a lot of traffic. Tight driving with the natural long grass and big greens with lots of nuiances.
Varied holes and wonderful greens
Each hole presents a different challenge whether it be risk/reward in cutting off a dogleg over water or club selection on various elevation changes. There are no homes on the course so it plays in a natural and beautiful setting. Pace of play can be quick on a weekday or bogged down on the weekend. There is usually some ball searching in the deep rough which can slow play down.
Yarrow GC
Great golf course and in excellent shape considering the recent Spring conditions. Forced to keep the ball in the fairway for good scoring given the length of the rough. First time playing the course and looking forward to going back!
