Great course
Excellent value for the money and a very scalable course depending on your tee box selection. The greens were in fair to good condition but overall great experience.
From a Cali golfer
I gotta say, I’m pretty hard on golf courses when it comes to maintenance and guest experience. As a golfer from California, I’ve played some great courses and I was pleasantly surprised by this course. Not for any reason other than price. I couldn’t believe I could play this great of a course for such a reasonable price. A course like this in the SF Bay Area would easily be $150+. I played another course near Kalamazoo during my stay, which was nice, but far more expensive and Moss Ridge definitely holds its own. If I could do it over I’d have played this course twice. Thank you to the staff and grounds crew for a great experience.
Miss ridge hidden gem
Beautiful course and great staff. I just started playing this course this year, and it’s definitely a hidden gem for the price! Some tough holes out there plus some that are a little easier with wider fairways, so a great mix of both. Greens are true and somewhat fast which I looooove. Just a beautiful place to golf, or if you’re a rider, fun for all!
Enjoyable round - great spot
Great golf course here. Greens were in very good shape and rolling very nicely. Everything was very green and not burnt out and I loved the layout of some doglegs and straight holes. The GPS helped on the dogleg and I never felt confused on the tee box where to hit it and where to miss it. Double green on 9/18 were very cool. OK to spray the ball here a bit which I did of course off of the tee.
Good spot for any type of round.
Beautiful course and excellent value
Stopped at Moss on the way home from Traverse City golf resort. Great choice and perfect way to end golf trip.
Slow pace of play but great course
I think when it was all said and done my round was about 5 hours long. I got paired up with a 3-some as a single, no biggie, I actually prefer that. However when we got to the back 9 we got stuck behind a 10-some! 4 dudes, 4 girlfriends who wanted to play some holes but were riders and two additional friends who were riding along with. They weren’t very good and found ourselves waiting on every shot. We even got to the point there was 3 groups on the tee box with us waiting. Other than that, course was in great shape! Greens were that perfect speed between fast and slow, fairways were manicured, rough was thick and lush in most areas (to be expected). Only other complaint were the bunkers not being in great shape, the only one I went into (on 9) was in great shape, but the people I was playing with complained they were hard
Moss Ridge Slaps
This course is a gold mine for anyone looking for fresh tee boxes, great fairways and true greens. The pace of play during the week is unbeatable, and the staff will treat you not only professionally, but with respect and kindness. I have been golfing here this entire year, and I must say it is now my top 3 favorite courses in the Midwest and maybe even Michigan! I feel like I hit my driver 30 yards further on this course, must be an energy thing. Beautiful course, beautiful area, if you haven’t played, get out there and see if you can beat Moss Ridge!
