Moss Ridge for your money!!
Moss Ridge is a picturesque golf course that winds its way through a beautiful landscape full of apple trees. The area may well have been an orchard in the past. Moss has well maintained fairways and surroundings areas. The greens were also well maintained. If I had one criticism, it was the bunkers. They could have been taken care of a little better. Besides that Moss Ridge is a great course. I would recommend it to anyone. It a great course for the Money!!
The course was in excellent shape and the staff very friendly. Only issue was a stuck sprinkler.
Pace
I had a tee time at 10:58. I got there 4 minute late. So they had me start my round at hole 17. Which I didn’t like at all. There were massive amounts of people in front of us when we went to turn on hole 1. 4 didferent groups waiting to tee off on hole one. I was not happy and probably will never book a tee time at this place again.
Great course
This is a very nice course. There is plenty of room in the fairways for the beginner, but very interesting layout for the average golfer. It is fairly flat but they make up for it with strategic bunkers and some water. The greens are in good shape and plenty large. It is definitely worth the drive to visit this course.
My GO to Course
Always fun to play Moss Ridge....this early in the spring was a hoot. Nice layout.....course has made big improvements the last few years with their new manager. The course has beautiful clubhouse for events and there is almost always some kind of a promotion like lunch and a round or senior specials...check it out!
We did not play as the temperature was only 42 and it was raining off and on.
Nice layout, Very friendly staff!!
Great course conditions for Mid October. Staff was very friendly. Nice pace of play and free lunch was a bonus! Will be back to play again.
Hot Course
It was 94 degrees on Sept 22 & this is Michigan. Drank a lot of water to stay hydrated. Best part is that nobody was on the course- whimps! Greens & fairways in great shape, really enjoyed the day with a past student. Even tho I'm going on 75 he won't let me use the Senior tees. I think that's because he is going on 65. Neither of us shot our age, maybe next time!
Very Nice
Moss Ridge is a well run course. Nice layout and friendly staff. Pace of play is generally good, but I happened to come after an outing which slowed play the last 5 or 6 holes. Course conditions are very good and I highly recommend the course.
Decent course for the money
Moss Ridge is a nice track but the conditions seem to be deteriorating. I play there once or twice a year and each year I notice the condition of the course is a bit worse. For example this year the bunkers were in horrible shape. That being said it's a pretty good value and worth the drive if you're in the West MI area. I'd recommend an early tee time... they get busy on the weekends.
Great place to be!
Great course...the BEST MANAGER!-STARTER! Thank you!! Always will return here!
Always enjoy...except for one thing..
Really enjoy golfing here. Pace can be a tad slow sometimes but not too bad. The issue I have is that I have yet to play there when they are not cutting grass or doing some sort of maintenance. A few times the mower didn't stop and shut down like it should when people are swinging. One time he even started up in my backswing. Minor annoyance. Would still play here.
Drag the sand traps!!!!
Lots of sand but the upkeep was horrible. Tracks, hardpan, mud, thick sand/no sand.
Greens in great shape despite numerous ball marks left unaddressed. Staff was friendly!
Lots of potential...but please address the bunkers!
Good course
The is in great condition and value was great as well.
Nice Course, Slow Pace
The staff mangement saved this review from being a one star. When we got to the first tee there was a eightsome (four kids, four adults) teeing off. Seeing this threw me back for a few moments. Then a member of the staff came over and moved my group to a open spot on the course at hole 7. It took almost 3 hours to play nine hole and almost six hours to play the whole round. The course overall was great, I would just reccommed them adjusting the tee sheet or having a ranger out on the course to make the golfing rounds more enjoyable for everyone.
