Spring Golf Ohio
Course played well. Greens surprisingly quick, but if you haven’t golfed in Ohio. Then understand this time of year the course can be lumpy and just starting to dry out. The staff at Chenoweth had the course in great shape! Definitely go back!!!
Worth playing a couple times per year.
What I like best about this course is the variety of shots needed to go low. There are tight holes and open holes. The par 3’s range from short to long. There are reachable par 5’s, and three shot par 5’s. There are dog legs both ways and plenty of elevation changes. Condition is just average, and price is fair.
Chenoweth 10-22
When checking in, the desk person told me they had me paired with a threesome and to take a cart and see the starter. The starter then told me that I had to share the cart with the other person or pay an extra $10 to have my own cart. In these Covid-times, I don't ant to share a cart with someone I don't know. This is not social distancing and the carts don't have barriers between the two passengers. I asked if the other person also had to pay $10 and the starter said yes. We were both not interested in sharing the cart (Covid) and I was going to leave and request a refund. The starter told us we could pay $5 each, so just to make it simple we both paid him (the starter) $5. I don't know if he paid that to the club or just kept that cash.
Overall, if courses are charging me extra to play as a single, yet allowing singles to sign on from GolfNow, then buyers should be informed via GolfNow when these course policies (charging more when you get to the course, to be Covid safe) are in effect.
Very disappointed. I'm not sure how to solve this, but I don't like getting charged extra to play as I signed up via GolfNow and had already paid.
Chenoweth 10-23
The pace was extremely slow, the front nine was 2-3/4 hours. The back nine was at 2-1/2 hours. I played this course the day before with the same amount of groups on the course in 4 hours. It is a a fairly easy course and pace of play should never be over 4-1/2 hours.
Who handles the money
I booked a time for myself as did another person. Their were two people who booked together. The two that booked were in one cart, myself and the other person who booked himself were in our own carts. The gentleman behind the counter was very polite and said he was grouping me with three others which is expected and told me to grab any cart and enjoy my round. We were on the first tee and the starter came down and told me and the other single we had to pay $10.00 each to ride in a cart by ourselves because we booked through Golf Now. Why would we both pay $10.00. He said he would make us a “Deal” that we only pay $5.00 each. I asked if I need to go to the clubhouse and pay and he said just give him the total of $5.00 each. I wonder heir that money went.
SLOW!!
took 3 hours on the front 9, no Marshall to help pace.
Poor pace management
overcrowded course with no marahall out helping quicken the pace of play. Took 3 hours to play front 9.
Very nice course...Challenging
We enjoyed our round....found the course quite challenging.....lots of blind shots....Homes not to far from out of play....but a nice course we will return
