great 9 hole course- nice mix of holes
not your country club course with a spa and all the 9 yards- its small , quaint and quiet- the holes are a nice mix- beautiful scenery, water on 4 holes- somewhat misleading until you actually go there to play- a must play for a great price and nice round of golf- note to everyone- if its busy you will get backed up forever- I played on a Tuesday morning and got around in 3 1/2(18 holes) price was awesome- check it out
mixup
Very unhappy! Went into golfnow and entered two players for 18 holes. The pop-up showed this course for a very low price; so we booked the tee time. When we arrived at the course we were told the price was only for nine holes walking!! Course manager admitted they have had numerous problems like this. Somebody needs to fix this misunderstanding.
Great value for money
The course is really 9 holes but two of the holes have two sets of tee boxes so if you play 18, you really have 11 different holes. The course is hilly and the first time you play it is not obvious where the trouble is....I ended up in a creek that I didn't know existed until I went ahead over the hill to hit my next shot and there it was! My second 9 was much better as a result. The course is in average shape and there is good separation between holes so you don't feel like you are playing on top of someone in the next fairway. I liked many of the holes and would definitely play here again!
Slow play
The pace of play was extremely slow. This is a easy course that you should be able to play 18 holes in 4 hours. Our tee time was 10:00 a.m. and the 1st tee had 4 groups waiting. They had a scramble earlier that morning and did not allow for the tee times they had scheduled. It took us over 3 hours to play 11 holes. That was after playing the first three holes in 35 minutes. The wait just kept getting longer every hole. We left after going to the 12th tee and with 2 groups waiting, 1 in the fairway and 1 on the green. Our round would have been over 6 hours, if we waited.
Nice local course. Well maintained.
Nice course. Easy to get tee time. Pace of play was great.
Good for the money
We got 18 holes with a cart for $5 per person on the site. Can't complain. The course was maintained. The staff questioned the validity of our reservation but once we got that all squared away, we had no problems. Overall good course for the money.
The course is a hidden gem
I really liked the layout of the course. If you are a beginner you might yell "four" a couple of times because some of the holes are tight. I will go again.
overbooked poorly marked
The course was overbooked and played very slow for this reason but the scenery is great and you cannot be the price. I will return though I do feel as though the course is poorly measured according to the tee box markers I hit a 3 hybrid 270-280 and hit a 5 iron about 200. Other than the slow pace of play and poor markings the course is rather challenging and well worth the price I paid.
Lots of character.
One of my favorite courses. Challenging, picturesque,
maturing very nicely.
Get what you pay for ; somewhat
My two huge pet peeves were the speed of play and the price
1. It was way overbooked for a 9 hole course causing there to be literally a traffic jam at some holes and couple that with some slow playing foursomes and you have a 4 hr day just for 9 holes which is unacceptable.
2. I was slightly bothered that the gentlemen I was paired with walked up and paid $19 and I got a "deal" on golf now and paid $26. Not a huge difference but yet and still I could've just showed up and been fine..
Anyhow just an average course at best if I want to be nice. Served the purpose of playing away from home but I probably wouldn't play there again.
Short but challenging
My group consists of seniors so the par fours are generally "feel good" holes because they can be reached in two. However , in most cases there are well placed obstacles that require accurate shots to overcome. Two holes have alternate tees that change the play signicantly for those playing eighteen.
Greens are in nice condition.
Was a great value for the deal that I got on Golf Now.
The course is difficult for 9 hole!!!!!
very challenging for a 9 holer!!!!! I enjoy the price!!!!
Exceeded expectations
I got a great price on golfnow.com and it is a 9 hole course and when I drove off of Hamilton Ave. the only sign to the course was a real estate-type sign pushed in the ground. I thought, "wow, this is probably going to a junky course." Wow, was I surprised! The holes are beautiful and tight. Lots of trees, streams, ponds...really pretty. The folks at the course were really nice. They evidently also sell carts, so there were a lot of carts sitting around the clubhouse, so that part doesn't look nice, but I don't really care about that stuff.
We are glad you enjoyed the course. We have made some improvements to the course since your last visit, including GPS on our carts so you can see the layout and yardage as you play. You can find great deals on our website for your next round!
course needs work
This course was very busy had to wait on every hole. Not in great shape. other players on the course were not friendly.

excellent
This course is well maintained and the most beautiful course you will find in the heart of the city. They have electric carts, the terrain is hilly however it plays nicely and you will want to play twice. A couple holes have two sets of tees and it feels more like an 18 hole course than a 9. Lakes, streams, wildlife and a nice challenge at a good price.
We appreciate your review and are pleased that you enjoyed our beautiful setting.
Challenging layout
For a shortish 9 hole course, it has a challenging layout that asks you if you want to go for a green on your drive or not. Some greens are very difficult to putt. Stay below the hole on No. 2. The par 5's are legitimate and tough to reach in two. You also have choices of tee boxes, so you can make a par3 into a par 4, which makes it more interesting.
Thank you for the great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the course. Its been a few years since you left this review, I hope to see you out here again soon to see the updates we have done to the course.
