Diamond Springs Golf Course, hole 10 Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/19/2019
This one beautiful course !!!
Love playing this course. Great fairways. Some tricky greens and love the ravines. Great golfing !!!
Hidden Gem!
Hidden Gem is the best way to describe Diamond Springs. A very fun track and I can't say I have played anything like it. Somewhat similar to The Ravines but much more playable. Greens roll true and were in great shape. Staff is very friendly and appreciates your business. I will definitely be back as this is one of my SW Michigan favorites.
Challenging greens.
The course is in great shape. Some of the better fairways conditions I have seen this year. The greens are challenging and fun. I would definitely play here again.
Well maintained course. A little bug infested on some holes.
Pros:
- This is a nice course that's tucked away in Hamilton.
- Good lush fairway and smooth greens.
- Nice layout
Cons
- They charge an extra dollar for credit cards for all charges. Who pays $47 in cash?! They should raise the fee by a buck to cover it if that's the case. And not annoy the people who sees this a nickle and diming us.
- The restaurant are was closed and there wasn't any food other than hot dogs there.
Oddities:
- they mow the teeboxes the same height as the fairways you can't really tell them from the fairway except for where the tee box markers are. Odd but cool.
Worth the Drive
This has to be one of the best new courses that I've played in the last 10 years, Each hole flows perfectly with the surrounding landscape. There really is not a bad hole out here. My on complaint would be to have a set of tees at around 6500 yards. The course is sort of hard to find, but it is worth the effort.
Great course
Great course with plenty of trouble to get into, but fair and plenty of room off the tee. Nice layout with good views. Nice separation between holes. The only thing this course is missing would be manicured tee boxes, other than that awesome.
Great Golf Course
Beautiful, scenic golf course in great condition. Some hills and ravines give it character.
Golfer Etiquette
Diamond Springs is my favorite course in West Michigan! It is always well maintained and provides just enough challenge to test my moderate skills. I love to play there but was very disappointed in my 7/19/2015 round through no fault of the management. I was alone and quickly caught up to a slow-playing threesome. These "gentlemen" took it upon themselves to determine that I had no hope of playing through the smaller groups in front of them and, therefore, they would not let me play through! I watched them tee off of every tee from number 3 through number 14! Not only were they ignorant in their refusal to let me play through, but they compounded their insolence by taking second and third shots whenever they bungled their first shot (which was often)! I finally had enough when each of them hit into the ravine on #14 and proceeded to do a complete second round of shots. Much to their consternation, I cursed them and drove to the fifteenth tee were I paired up with a lovely couple that, contrary to what the trailing oafs had said, immediately invited me to join them. The clubhouse had kindly sent the ranger out to number 6 when I complained, but nothing happened to alleviate the problem. I know there is not much you can do to alleviate such a problem, but perhaps everywhere that you post the admonition to "let faster players through," you could add the words "regardless of conditions ahead of you."
Great course
The course was in pristine condition. I got a great deal on golfnow and for the price it's one of my favorite courses to play in West Michigan.
Well maintained course
Set up and conditions were nice. Pace of play was excellent. The greens are a bit too difficult, but overall a good experience.
Truly a diamond in the rough
this course blows my mind. Driving through the area, you'd never expect such a gem to be hidden in the trees. It lulls you on the first hole, and then the fun begins. The only thing I really dislike about this place, is that there isn't a single water cooler along the tee boxes. This rears its ugly head when anyone in your group may have forgotten to grab a drink, or three, on a hot day (sadly, my compadre fell into this category). Outside of the lack of Dihydrous Oxide, the place is a great test of your skill. Greens were in great shape, and fairways were mown tight.
Great Course Overall
Unbelievable course it's a must play if you're in the area. It's in immaculate shape and a good challenge
Diamond Springs truly a diamond in the rough !
The course is fair, however there are a few very challenging holes. There are a couple of holes that are borderline, close to being kind of ridiculous. But overall we really like the course, it is always in great condition, and the costs are very reasonable. One or two of the par 4's are a little too long for the average golfer to get on in two shots, but that's true at a lot of courses these days. They don't tend to cater to the average 18 and up handicapper anymore.
For an enjoyable, mixed bag of hole types, Diamond Springs is great.
Beautiful Country Golf
Nice little track out in the country. Beautifully laid out and lots of fun. Very unique experience, great sand, great landscape, and nice rolling greens!
Awesome couse.
First time playing this course. Can't believe I waited this long to play. Very nice course. Great condition for being early in the season. The only bad thing I can say is on one hole they were aerating the tee box and fairway. Other than that, the greens were fast and true and the fairways were nice. Love the layout. Fairways are generous. Still a challenging and beautiful course. Will definitely play again.
great fall round
The course is challenging yet accessible. This is a superb layout in excellent condition.
never will play again
The staff was not very happy or nice for that matter. No beer or alcohol nor can you bring anything on the course and NO FOOD was offered. slow round they book tee times too close together.
Rick/Diamond
Nice course I've played several times. A little pricey
They really need a ranger out on the course.
It's out there but worth the drive!
Wide fairways, but don't let your guard down, the greens are huge and very difficult! Make your mark on the front because the backs a challenge,
