Diamond Springs Golf Course, hole 10 Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/19/2019
Course is very pleasing to the eye and is in great shape considering the hot weather we've had the past couple of weeks.
Love this course. It's out in the country and has many beautiful views. Best of all... there are no homes around the course to spoil the beauty. Fairways, bunkers and greens were in great shape. Grass on tee boxes a little long for my taste.
Great value for a great challenge
The course is very playable and good shots are rewarded. The back nine from hole 13 to 19 crosses or follows a deep ravine and presents beautiful and challenging golf shots.
Back 9 holes very interesting
All 4 of us thought this was the best course we have ever played. Even though our handicap varied from 25 to 35, we still enjoyed playing here.
Course overall in good condition
Course is challenging for a novice like me however I enjoyed the challenge. The course is in a beautiful setting and was in nice condition.
Good Track, but Slow Play and Average Condition.
Took over 5+ hours to play 18, with an almost 3 hour front nine. While the course is generally in good condition, the fairways and rough are all cut at the same length. With a bit more manicuring, the course could be a very good track, but is a bit off the beaten path.
Course features a great layout, designed by a well-known architect, and is playable for most skill levels, but due to discounted pricing had its fair share of weekend warriors leading to VERY slow play. Although we did play on Memorial Weekend which could have been partly to blame.
Would play again though and is a good course if willing to make a bit of a drive.
This course is worth the drive...
Very fair but still provides a challange. Ample landing area off the tees but enough trouble to make things interesting, especially around the greens. Opportunities for risk/reward shots. Course is in very good shape but tee areas could be mowed a little shorter - a minor detail. Great golf for any level player.
Scenic back nine, fun 18
All in all the course was in good shape. The back 9 was being aerated so that was disappointing, but it has to be done at some point. I would return.
Great Course, Great price.
For the area, you can't beat Diamond Springs concerning quality of the course and the price. Lots of well-maintained, super-wide fairways. The back nine flirts with a terrifying ravine that eats golf balls for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A great challenge for all skill types. Yesterday they were aerating the fairways, so a few holes had some pretty interesting terrain. Worth the trip!
Very challenging greens
During the week April 15th, our area suffered some pretty tremendous rainfall. Just days after words this course was ready to play unlike lots of others. The greenscrew did an excellent job preparing the course for play over the weekend. The greens, which are usually harder to "bring back" to life after hard weather, were in fantastic shape. The pin placement was set to pro level, but thats a different story. Diamond springs is a very fun and challenging course with a dynamic 15-18 finish. I recommend this to anyone seeking a hidden gem of a course.
Diamond in the Rough!
This course is about 45 minutes from Grand Rapids, but well worth the trip. The staff is very friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure you have a good experience. The course is very fun to play as there is a mix of wooded, open, and ravine style holes to play. It isn't the hardest course, but there are still difficult holes to come up and bite you. Will definitely be back!
A Little Bit of Everything
Always a nice challenging course. Great lay out, well maintained even when we played the last round of the year in November! They do not serve alcohol which is not a deal breaker for us, but it would be nice to enjoy a beer or two. Especially when you're having a bad round :)
Great challenging greens
Despite the location being in the middle of nowhere, this course was by far one of the best in the area. Most all of the holes have a risk reward play to them. The par 5's are reachable in two with well placed shots as well as narrow fairways require strategic placement. I will definitely be back to play this course again!

This course is a gem. Some of the most challenging holes in golf mixed with some average holes. All high quality
Diamond Springs is in the middle of nowhere, so don't tell anyone about it. The course is always well kept, but not pristine. I think the combination of location, challenge and good but not over the top maintenance makes Diamond Springs one of the best values available not only in West Michigan, but over a much wider area. Don't come to dine or be pampered. No one will carry or clean your clubs for you. But if you want to play golf on a fair and challenging course that is a lot of fun, Diamond Springs is the place. But don't tell anyone.
Feels and plays like a more expensive course.
Played here for the first time this year...played at least 20 rounds here this year. Easily my favorite local course!
Love it
A hidden gem in West Michigan. Diamond Springs is a well-maintained course that is not without its challenges. The front nine has some challenging holes. Once you hit number 13 on the back, you're playing next to and around gorges. It's a challenge to keep the ball in play, but not so much that it's impossible. I'm a bogey golfer and I enjoy the course immensely. Watch their website for deals in addition to the golfnow deals.
Beautiful course
This was the first time i played this course and i loved it. It is well maintained, quiet, and a good challenge.
This course challenging but fair.
Having played this course before my expectations were met. The recently aerated greens were not completely healed but that is not uncommon at this time of year. Only the 25-35 mph wind hampered enjoyment.
Playable and scenic
This was he first time I played this course. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but the course itself is great. It has a good layout and some elevation changes. The front nine, which I played, has a few tricky greens. A couple are tucked behind strategically placed bunkers and one doesn't have a flat area anywhere on the green. Overall I really enjoyed this course
Up north feel challenging holes great value
Back nine holes are very challenging with deep revines. Course is out in the country with little noise seems like you are up north. Greens well guarded. Good value.
