Diamond Springs Golf Course, hole 10 Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/19/2019
This course was in excellent condition, both fairways and greens
Very pretty course away from the busy city. It was in excellent condition, but pace of play was slow. It was a Saturday, but our foursome had to wait on most of the holes. Will play it again because of its moderate challenge and excellent condition!
Worth the Drive!
This was the first time I played. We had a foursome and played early in the morning. The course resembles other DeVries designs like Pilgrim's Run and The Mines. I would call Diamond Springs just about at the same level as Pilgrim's Run but on Muni Prices. We booked on line and paid $40 for 18 and a cart …..on a Saturday!
I would put this course on the same caliber as Thousand Oaks, Quail Ridge, and Thornapple Pointe at about 60% of the cost. I would put it as a must play. You will be surprised when you find a course of this caliber "way out in the middle of no where"!
Nice course !!
Back Nine very challenging,, beautiful scenery !!!
Hidden gem
Excellent setting for a layout in Allegan Forrest. No houses, farms, roads just nice layout for up north golf in west michigan.
Gorgeous golf course
Gorgeous golf course!! Great greens!! Unlike any golf course I've ever played! !
rate of play
foursome with two ladys did not play at course rate of play. Nor were they aware to let others play ahead of them, ignorance is frustrating on the golf course.
Consider Your Options
Like many of those that previously reviewed this course - I too found that the conditions have deteriorated since I first played this course several years ago. It seems that there's little effort that goes into the framing of the course with various mowing heights to distinguish between tee boxes and fairways. No water on the course and dusty non-paved cart paths. Depending on where you're coming from, it can be a pretty trick course to get to in any reasonable amount of time so consider your options when choosing to play this average course.
Easy and Challenging
We have been playing Diamond Springs for years and I still struggle on their back nine. The front is fairly easy with mostly wide open fairways and short distances to the pins. My nemesis hole has always been number 16 ( I hate that hole) very challenging par 5. Great course would recommend you give it a try.

Just OK
I have played here a few times. This was my least favorite. The course seems to have gone downhill. Tees were indistinguishable from the fairways. They looked like the markers were just placed wherever the mower person felt like it.
Also, we always feel pressure from the ranger to hurry up even when we are on pace.
Just not sure I will be back.
First time but not the last.
Beautiful golf course! Challenging but playable. Love the greens.
Super golf course in great condition .
Played this course 10+ times in last 3 years, this is best I seem it. Beautiful fall day with lots of color and no leaf problems.
great course and will come back
first time here and we thought this golf course is fantastic. We will be back soon.
Will never go back under any circumstances
Showed up and they charge extra for using my credit card. Then the credit card machine didn't work so I paid cash. The first tee looked like it hadn't been mowed in at least a week. Got out in the fairway and it wasn't any better. Grass was at least 1.5 inches long. got to the green and they had aerated the greens the day before and they were covered in sand. I would have appreciated it if they would have told me so that I Could choose somewhere else to play. The second hole goes back toward the clubhouse and I considered quitting after 2 and asking for my money back. I was just trying to waste time on a trip, so I continued. The rest of the golf course was more of the same. No definition between tee, fairway, and rough. Interesting layout but the condition of the golf course is one of the worst I have ever seen
This course has a beautifull layout but needs some attention
I was disappointed in the condition of the tee boxes and fairways. If it wasn't for the tee markers you could not tell where the tee boxes were at. . The grass was all the same type and height throughout the entire course. The greens were nice but could use some more upkeep as their were a ton of ball marks in them.
Nice course.
This course is a nice course for a decent price. Course was in good shape. Not a long or difficult course, but will provide challenges and entertainment.
Great course
This was a beautiful course and Beautiful Greens! The fairway was different...They were good but just different. Overall It is a nice course and will play again some day.
Great vibe!!
There is just something about this course that I really enjoy. Could be the relaxed atmosphere. Could be the natural beauty of the golf course. Could be the killer finish on the back 9. Highly recommend this course as a must-play in the Grand Rapids area!!
Enjoyed playing there very much - was not crowded at the time.
The course is in very good shape. The fairways are well maintained and the greens are rather fast, but fair. A few deep ravines that you must cross, but the variety of tee areas allow you to choose according to your ability. We will be back when we get the opportunity.
Rough Greens
I don't think the pin placements had been changed for a few days. All of the greens where in ruff shape around the pins from previous players.
Deep ravines , water, and wetlands offer a challenge.
An enjoyable course with numerous hazards. Another set of tees between the whites and blues is needed(6300-6400yds).
