About
Aston Oaks Golf Club is perched atop rolling hills that overlook the Ohio River Valley. The Jack Nicklaus Design Group created the course, which sits on the former land of President William Henry Harrison. Although his presidency was short lived, traces of his legacy in Ohio can be seen throughout the golf course. Each hole was carefully carved from stands of mature white oak, hickory, and other native hardwoods. The course is tight and demanding with fast greens and plenty of elevation changes. The abundance of trees really characterizes the course. Between the 10th tee and the 11th green, there is a giant Buckeye tree that is the largest in the state. With all of the trees lining the fairways there was hardly a need to add bunkers, but there are some incorporated along the greensides that help to define some holes.

Golfer Reviews
Good shape
Got stuck behind a slow 4-some last time - very annoying, why are people so reluctant to let faster people play through? This time was better. Course was in good shape. I like the challenging nature of certain holes.
Overrated
Can’t believe all of the great reviews. The greens and tee boxes are in horrible condition. Looks like they ran out of maintenance monies. The positives - bunkers are in great shape, carts are nice and staff is friendly. Not worth more than $25 for 18 and cart.
Over hill over dale!
Challenging course with fast greens and difficult pin position. Fun course!
Beautiful Course
Course was great! Good condition, unique layout, challenging, true greens. I got to the 16th hole and they were aerating the last three holes. They offered a rain check so no complaints. Will definitely play again.
Top 10 in Ohio
If your looking for a golf course to test your game, then this is it. I've played alot of courses all over Ohio and this one is definitely in the top 10 probably top 5. I love courses with elevation changes, scenic views, and holes that garner a WOW factor when you stand on the tee box.
Great first time experience
The course was layout was awesome. No worries of hitting into another fairway. The weather was awesome. The course was pretty empty so pace of play was outstanding. The few issues were greens are in so-so shape because players aren't repairing their divot marks. There is some crabgrass that is starting to infiltrate around the greens and makes for some tricky putts. They seemed to have watered heavy with the hot sunny weather but made some spots very spongy and mushy, maybe too much watering.
Solid
Good course overall with some well designed holes. Doesn’t drain well so be careful if playing within a day or two of rain.
5+ Hour Round of Golf
The fairways are narrow, hilly. and steep. Unfortunately when it takes over 5 hours to complete 18 holes of golf, it's exhausting. Everyone (players and ranger) were apologetic to my wife and I, but amateur players need to learn to play ready-golf, and the ranger needs to move these slow-pokes along effectively. In addition, there were no restrooms out on the course. Empathy and a lone porta-potty on the back 9 will not bring me back for another round of golf there..
Great course, slow play
Love the course, GPS is great, but pace of play is just horrible. Round took over 5 hours to play.
Aston Oaks
Greens were smooth and fast and course was in overall great condition.
