About
Aston Oaks Golf Club is perched atop rolling hills that overlook the Ohio River Valley. The Jack Nicklaus Design Group created the course, which sits on the former land of President William Henry Harrison. Although his presidency was short lived, traces of his legacy in Ohio can be seen throughout the golf course. Each hole was carefully carved from stands of mature white oak, hickory, and other native hardwoods. The course is tight and demanding with fast greens and plenty of elevation changes. The abundance of trees really characterizes the course. Between the 10th tee and the 11th green, there is a giant Buckeye tree that is the largest in the state. With all of the trees lining the fairways there was hardly a need to add bunkers, but there are some incorporated along the greensides that help to define some holes.

Golfer Reviews
Slow play
course forced into playing with another 2-some because of how busy the course was. we got stuck behind some very slow groups that wouldn't let us play. the course was in pretty good shape, greens were nice but some fairways were burnt. recommend to play during the week to avoid slowness.
beauitful course
This was in great shape it was like country club setting .One of the best public I played.
Great golfing experience.
I play a lot different courses, This is one of my favorites courses now.. Beautifu andl scenic, seems to be back in the middle of no where. You can't just bang a driver on every hole.
Nice and friendly staff. Very reasonable replay rate. Wasn't busy at all on a Saturday morning.
I will playing this course every time I visit my buddy who lives in the Cincinnati area.
Amazing Golf Course
A Beautiful golf course, the layout was amazing, the fairways were in great condition and that rough...its on the name, some of the hardest roughs to hit out of. GPS on the golf carts were a bonus, took the guessing out of the equation which helps speed up the game. If you book for two, you will be paired as a foursome.
Overall, you won't be disappointed. In already planning my next round with a group of friends...even Jim and Jake are welcomed( the two gentlemen that we were paired with).
Picturesque layout
Very scenic even with housing around. Many holes with change of elevation and doglegs. No flat greens. Fun time.
Great Course!
Great Course, friendly staff, everything was great except for the pace of play on the back 9, caught up to a twosome who was averaging 15-20 mins per hole. Other than that it was great!
Played on gods day thought i would be blessed
Started out great 6 hole 2 golfers look like giving lessons please do that on the range so I invited guy behind me so slow why make him wait. Then guys drive into me on 12 didn't say a word so in my back swing my second shot. There right next to me talking like I was a ghost. So I let them have it told them to learn some golf etiquette 30 year old men should know this. No starter bad day on gods day .
Worth playing
Very nice course. Worth playing. Very scenic.
ONE OF THE BESTi
I have played at many courses around Cincinnati and i do believe this is one of the best. It has a great layout with some interesting views of the river. It also has some interesting elevation changes. The course was in great condition other than two fairways which looked recently sodded which the staff said was due to some vandAlism. GPS in the carts make for a great expireance as well. Will definitely be back.
Can't Wait to Go Back
The layout was very good. A lot of variety and the holes never seem the same. A lot of holes were just easy on the eye and although its located within a subdivision there are enough trees on holes to make it secluded. The greens had just been aerated but it still was a great experience and I can't wait to go back.
Great time!
Our round started with fog, ended with pouring rain and was still a great time. Favorite round I ever played. Can't wait to play it with ideal conditions.
Fabulous
Two fairways had been resodded due to vandalism. Gorgeous course. Lots of elevation changes and trees. Really nice greens. A+ all the way.
aston oaks
a little to crowed for me felt like i was rushed buy golfers behind us this was a week day
What a great deal
Played the course in late November it was in great shape. Love the layout. And it's always fun with GPS in the cart.
Nice layout
Really nice course as expected from a Jack course. Only complaint would be the idiots in front of us who obviously didn't care if they got their round in before darkness. We were the second to last group and if we didn't have that group to deal with we could have been done 45-60 minutes quicker. They found it perfectly acceptable to look 5 minutes for balls, and also to not play 'ready golf'. They also hit from a set of back tees and I guarantee you that none of them broke 100. And one guy took 10 seconds before starting his swing over each and every shot. REALLY DUDE?!? Wow... The main problem is that there were no marshalls on the course. All it would take is one Marshall to solve that problem.
Sloooooowwwwww
We played on a Sunday morning hoping to miss the rush. The course actually put us out in front of a small group outing to keep us from waiting. The first nine was a little slow. We followed a twosome who was held up by a slower threesome. The problem came after we made the turn. We proceeded to follow a family of four who had no clue. We waited for 5-10 minutes over every shot. We were never asked to play through. Overall the round took 5 hours. There were no rangers out to keep them moving.
Good Inexpensive Golf
Course was in good condition despite the somewhat recent aeration. There was an outing going on and my round was slowed considerably by that fact. There are enough elevation changes in the course that require different shots while using the same club. You have to think a little and not just blast the driver as accuracy is at a premium on a number of holes.
