About
Aston Oaks Golf Club is perched atop rolling hills that overlook the Ohio River Valley. The Jack Nicklaus Design Group created the course, which sits on the former land of President William Henry Harrison. Although his presidency was short lived, traces of his legacy in Ohio can be seen throughout the golf course. Each hole was carefully carved from stands of mature white oak, hickory, and other native hardwoods. The course is tight and demanding with fast greens and plenty of elevation changes. The abundance of trees really characterizes the course. Between the 10th tee and the 11th green, there is a giant Buckeye tree that is the largest in the state. With all of the trees lining the fairways there was hardly a need to add bunkers, but there are some incorporated along the greensides that help to define some holes.

Awesome course!
Course offers every golf shot you can think of. You will use every club in the bag. Great layout!
Course isn’t even worth $40 Tee Times
I live right down the street from this course and used to play it all the time.
Normally I’d say it’s a great track, and in years past that it keeps up in pretty good condition. However, it’s seeing way too many outings every week this year and people have clearly not being repairing their divots. Course is in terrible shape!
I do my best to bounce around to different courses to switch it up and these are the worst greens I’ve seen this year and it’s not even close.
Neumann see’s the same amount of outings per week, and is significantly in better shape, and is cheaper.
Should be criminal to charge $70
Overall the course is horribly maintained. Almost all tee boxes completely overgrown with weeds or patchy. Ball marks all over greens making them unplayable. Fairways, fringe and green run ups all in terrible condition

Course is great, but needs a lot of TLC
Greens are covered in divots, making it barely possible to hit a putt over 3 feet. Course was littered with dead patches and cut up fringes.

Too expensive and rough conditions
Course not in great shape. The back nine is fine, but the front nine is not in good shape at all. Too expensive to not be in better shape

Course In Bad Shape
We played 18 holes on 6/25. Course was in sub-par condition. Tee boxes were half grass, half dirt/weeds. 100 yards out from the pin was a muddy mess on 15 out of 18 holes. Greens had numerous divot marks (20+ divots per green).
They must host a ton of outings at this golf course or they just do not maintenance it anymore like they used to.
I would give our last outing a 3/10. For $50 a round I would expect more from this course.

Good course, Bad condition
Greens are the worst I’ve seen in the city, Looks like there’s no care to them other than mowing. Tee boxes are not great either. Fairways absolutely full of divots. This course has so much potential but it’s not worth the price. Nicklaus would be ashamed to see it in such condition. $70 on weekends is way too steep, Elks Run and others at that price point look like Augusta compared to here.

Value for the money
GolfNow offers a great rate for this course. Overall the course is in pretty good shape. There are some bunkers that need work, so hopefully everyone stays out of them. There are a couple fairways that need attention, but for the playnow rates, I’ll be back.

Poor Condition
I’m expecting to pay $70 on weekends but not worth it here. Used to love course. Fairways have crabgrass or something else growing out, not turf. Greens ate up.
Plenty of better options at that price.
Great course. Thick rough
Golfed here a few times but this is the first I think in optimal weather conditions. Did not realize how thick and healthy the tough is. Ball can be sitting on top or down in it. Very fun to play. The greens are in great condition but very hard to read as lots of hills in different directions. Not an easy course to say the least but sure is fun.

Most of the course was in great shape. There was some evidence of aeration but some of the rough, bushy areas have been cleaned up.
