Course layout is interesting with rolling terrain and well placed hazards. My wife is a novice golfer and often times may only play 9 of 18 holes. Therefore the price of green fees makes Sonoma Ranch one of the better values we have encountered.
First time played...
The course itself is very challenging. Specially from the tips. The course conditions for the time of the year are OK. I like the Layout so far, but I don't like so much these fairways lined so close with homes. Also the gasoline carts. The staff is very friendly. The clubhouse has a nice Restaurant with bar. Unfortunately we couldn’t use it.
Nice day
Staff is very friendly, course is nice shape for winter golf the fairways had some color to them and the greens were a mix as they had watered them some slow others were fast but made for a interesting day. I will play this course again and suggest it to friends. I used Golfnow which made this and outstanding value
Not a bad day
Second time playing and it’s a good value for the price ( set tee time on golf now ) Pace of play seam to be a problem otherwise I could have rated it a little higher. Greens are fast and roll well. I’ll play it again especially at GolfNow’s price
Golfing at Sonoma Ranch golf course
My two friends and I just enjoyed the round with the course in great shape and the company of our fourth player who was visiting the course from the east coast. The weather was warm and low winds. C’mon, Golf doesn’t get any better than that.

Course in Great Condition
The course is in excellent condition. The greens are very good. They look like carpeting although they are slower than they appear. They are also soft so they tend to accept a well hit ball. Fairways are also in very nice condition. The rough is brutal in most areas. Difficult to control the ball out of the rough. This is the best I have seen Sonoma in some time although I don't play here regularly because it is not a walking course. I had a very nice day and will return again very soon.

Sonoma Ranch golf course is a very good course to play both good players and average players , even new players will enjoy it.

Our foursome found the price for the round of golf reasonable. We enjoyed the round of golf and we had a great time together.
Good Course
Great shape except for sand traps but all courses in this area use desert sand with small rocks. Grass is nice and green. The greens are in best condition in 3 years. I like this course a lot. Need to lower prices during slow traffic times to get best use of golf course. Hot Deals on Golf Now would solve this!
Spongy in the AM
Perfect really, greens were understandably spongy in the morning but their pace was still up. I prefer the afternoon at Sonoma when the sun has firmed up the course. Just my opinion... it's the best course in Cruces, I love it out there.

just one problem- my cart died after 9 holes- but I did not have a long walk to obtain another- in fact, barely worth mentioning
